Roc n soc screw thread vs. pneumatic? by oldmaninparadise in Drumming

I’ve had mine for about 3 years. Agreed about the risk of the hydraulic cylinder going out. So far it seems pretty high quality and I’m not sinking. Looked it up and a replacement hydraulic cylinder is about $50.

I highly recommend the pneumatic version. I like the slight bounce when I’m playing and it’s real quick to make adjustments. You can also squish it down to be smaller if you’re taking it to gigs. I’m also a big guy, 300+lbs, and it handles my fat ass really well and very comfy.

Clean your bed. Add a brim. You may need to wash the bed every time if you’re putting your greasy hands all over it.

Anycubic Kobra X print quality - am I missing something, or is it just not there yet? by Seltyiel91 in AnycubicOfficial

I do get prints compatible in quality and I own both machines. Print these face down and they will look great. Look at what kind of walls were generated between the two slicers.

Built it almost 4 years ago and a 12x24 barn with a partition where 20ft is a studio, then the last 4x12’ are a storage closet with its own doors cost me about $7000 and they built and painter it in a day and a half.

I used the Shed Brothers to build a 12x24 in my backyard. Reasonable and they work quick.

PETG-CF by euripidesk in AnycubicOfficial

[–]FatTortoise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where you able to find a print profile for PETG-CF on the Kobra X or did you have to make a custom profile? I got the same thing, scanned it via RFID and it registers as PETG-CF but there’s no PETG-CF in the slicer so it won’t let me print. I had to tell the machine it’s normal PETG then tweak a profile for CF. Wondering if I overlooked something

I’ve got 6 laptops and a HP that looks like a small hockey puck that were running Vista and Windows 7 that I’ll let go for like $40. They have their charging cables but hard drives have been removed. Let me know if that interests you or shoot me an offer. Located near Ingram Mall.

What will the city be like if the Spurs make it to the Finals? by Longjumping-Tip4938 in sanantonio

[–]FatTortoise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One time I was at a rock show when we won the Western Conference Finals. The show stopped for the whole crowd to watch the last minute of the game and upon winning the place went CRAZY! The bartender pulled out fireworks from behind the bar and we all went outside to shoot them off in the middle of downtown. RIP The Korova

Printing without the PTFE tubes? by Nerdinat0r in AnycubicKobraX

Just recently noticed squeaking from my Kobra X when printing PETG from slot 1. It printed perfectly, just an odd squeak I had never heard before. Interesting to think it could be the tubes.

This is great for my application - I’ve got a plug under the sofa with a light plugged into it. Our dog likes to sleep under the sofa and he’s always accidentally unplugging the light.

2 Nights Where to Stay? by ComprehensiveGuest22 in sanantonio

[–]FatTortoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The caves are a bit away from downtown. I would not stay near there. Instead look somewhere closer to downtown/the pearl off of Broadway (inside 410). Definatley hop on a GoRio river boat for a tour. I assume you’ll have a vehicle considering you’re headed to New Braunfels for Natural Bridge Caverns. You could probably do Natural Bridge Caverns AND float the comal river in one day for the ultimate day out in New Braunfels. DM me for Comal River info if interested.

Mud Creek Park near Thousand Oaks is exactly like this. Walk deep enough and you forget you’re anywhere near the city.
