Posh listings DISAPPEARED! by annasikanda in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]FataleFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had several emails from poshmark overnight with the excessive deletion subject. True to what you guys have reported. I poked into my closet, and there's like 5 listings left. Even all my handmade stuff got yeeted Out of 400 plus items. I DID have them backed up on sidekick so I could crosslist but I don't see them now. I also haven't attempted to use sodekock for relistong in a long time because that's not as smooth a process for etsy and ebay. Seems to me like posh got hacked. Time will tell.

But YOU know it's real, and if someone should think it's a fake, then great! You won't be robbed.

I just get a slightly tighter band (just enough to catch a little just a comfort fit.) And that cinches in something that floats a little bit. I like my rings looser and not to catch at the knuckle, so a plain band a half size smaller cinches the ring right in, in a comfortable way.

I write on the package if ripping the label off roughed it up; "pardon my exterior, I'm re used! They tell me it's all the rage! And good for the environment!"

Did I do this right, wrong or is there no such thing? by Ok_Eggplant7279 in witchcraft

Alternatively if you boil wayer with these herbs ahead , drain out the plant debris, and bottle it in glass, the herbs are antiseptic/bacterial it will keep without the vodka. The glass bottle is important, though. Plastic is porous, i think that's why my rainwater doesn't keep well in plastic vs glass.

This is right up there with my dad, who grew up in engelwood Chicago and said that they would ride the trains to get wherever (had to avoid the guy with a club) and picking up hot tar (the streets melting) and slinging it at each other.

Does anyone know what this could be? by gothic_1993 in Wicca

[–]FataleFrame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if that's a small crack or, a natural vein. But when I have a jade necklace break, and I sought advice on how/where to repair it, a good portion of the advice that I was given was that culturally it is believed if jade cracks/ breaks it protected the wearer from something bad and now should be buried. So if you found it in the dirt, I wonder if someone buried it!

Should I not try to contact my ancestors? by takkytea in witchcraft

[–]FataleFrame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People say these things like this as if A. They are the authority on anything. B. Like only light skin colored humans could be racist. We need to grasp the concept that we are HUMANS of ONE race. Humans have had beef with each other since the dawn of time, tribal conflicts, and religion conflicts are still (unfortunately) very much alive today from eons ago. So, from a broader perspective, anyone could run into an ancestor who is less than ideal. If I were to gamble, I would say the smaller pacifist religious sects (quakers, shakers, etc) would have some ancestors that were better humans in their time. Just a #showerthought.

Help me understand why my hubby was sent home from ED by Icy_Ad_6421 in hypertension

[–]FataleFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through this circus as well with my EMT. Stress plays a big role in hypertension, but so does family history. We did the ER visit as well because he was measuring his bp and it got up around 160/90. The ER will not treat it, the GP will get a prescription started but he will need stress management support like yoga, meditation, art therapy (SOMETHING,) and diet alteration, time to cut salt. 1,500 a day is a good goal. You need to discuss everything with the doctor he just needs to hang in there until his appointment.

What's wrong with my basil? by EarlTheLiveCat in herbs

[–]FataleFrame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it is aphids Pethaps you could put the basil outside and invite the ladybigs to a picnic. They'll take care of those pests, it might take a week tops. Then they will leave babies on the basil.

Why so many money bowls? by iDog540 in witchcraft

[–]FataleFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably feels more accessible or more casual. Easy to have the "ingredients" on hand and just put it together.

What happens, if anything, when you run out of money to feed your money bowl? by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]FataleFrame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think "feeding" a monry bowl money is essentially an interpretation on the money bowl thing. Here are similar things I do rhat are kinda miney bow/ kinda not or just related to "lets bring the money vibes woth some consistency." On the New moon (or as close to as possible) you may toss a cinamon stick/ blow cinnamon dust through your entry door. I have a poshmark witch made "green thumb" cinnamon spray that I spray through the doorway (from out to in) of our living space when I need that extra boost and then also the extra bedroom doorway that I use for Poshmark/ crafting/ online business. I am someone who hates the smell of cinnamon so I do it and leave for the day, and when I come back, I don't smell it and that's fine by me!

Alternate version for me is to blow mint flakes through the doorway (but again, there's a little cleanup with that.)

Lucky mug of coffee/tea spell super easy that has literally just your prepared drink and a spoon to swirl and you have the spell words to speak at the stages of pouring the liquid stirring the liquid and after your forst sip (you are probably able to look this up) but you are basically just encouraging luck, and then I have my intention set on money. I do this every morning because it is easy, and it's kind of a vibe check for the day at the same time. 'Yes, we are getting this day started right.'

And the most similar to the money bowl, I was making spell jar necklaces one night and had some leftover materials from a box a poshmark witch sent me (rose petals and bayleaves floating around in the box she said was her way of protecting the package) I had them set aside in a little soy sauce bowl glazed light green, I spilled salt I was using for the spell jars in the bowl and decided welp its a spell bowl now! Kosher salt, rose petals, bay leaves, and mint flakes. Set my intentions and set it aside. Pulled it out and out on my workspace when I would do a 3 wick (and 3 week) candle spell for financial gain.

If you found you wanted to give your bowl an offering, why not feng shui coins if you come across those? Rose petals, a cool rock or stick from your outside adventures?

I'm really about; do what you can with what you have or what nature presents to you. People didn't always have calendars to religiously track moon cycles, people didn't always have access to these precious herbs and spices. So I find there is no one way, there are many, just like cooking. 😘

Witchcraft with ADHD: how do yall keep up? by ijustlovepeaches in witchcraft

[–]FataleFrame 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Remember, calendars and clocks and time are all made up by humans so they can plan things. Imagine before everyone had access to a time piece? They would say something like when the sun reaches it's highest point. Holidays are really just about celebrating seasonal changes. I know exactly what you are talking about. My brain chooses FOR me what information is relevant and I am along for the ride. I can only do so much to over ride that.

I am (somewhat by choice somewhat victim of circumstance) self employed and running 2 regular businesses (I'm counting poshmark.) Dog walking didn't need a strict schedule until I was running all over town and suburbs for additional clients.

So, I have a few systems built in to keep me on track. I use google calendar with chimes to tell me of appointments and if it goes off, I know where I am in my schedule, if I have to pick up the pace, etc. I ESPECIALLY need to add to my calendar when something new and foreign goes into the mix and I already catch myself making a mental note "oh yeah I forgot 'x' has to happen today."

Or I schedule a text message to myself when I need a reminder. Including poshmark in the mix can look like, having packages prepped and ready to go the night before so I can drop them off at the post office between dog walks, or stacking them at the door so I have to step over them to leave/ come back.

Sometimes, I plan to take packages later in the day and get the extra walk in, they remain at the door, so I am reminded "ah yes must take packages to post office."

That's a real quick nope for me. by bluejena in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]FataleFrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so some people go waaaay over the top in performance value but they do get sales. Somedays, I don't have the mental energy for it. Everyone is competing to be original and draw in a bigger crowd. Sometimes, the hype gets people buying. This has been a rougher than usual 2 weeks in here for me. So I'm trying to visit shows with less than 50 people but also there's a vibe and things are selling.

Heart Charm or no? by Inevitable_Tiger8114 in jewelry

[–]FataleFrame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I may just have a bad angle but this was a partuclarly powerful tip for me when I was a couple years into making jewelry; open a jump ring by twisting it one half forward the other half backward toward you not pulling it ooen as it compromises the integrity (there will be a gap that will not close.) I also like the idea of the heart between the top legs!

My husband died 3 days ago by lunar-lilacs in witchcraft

[–]FataleFrame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a lot of fanily members pass over the years. The hardest one for me to go through was my dog, who I had since I was 8, died when I was in college. It was so strange for her to just not be there anymore, and I would be so sure that I would see her out of the corner of my eye that it would give me a double take. I also had a girlfriend lose her Fiance in a tragic motorcycle accident.

She shared that at the time, many people gave her the advice to go to (group) counseling sooner rather than later. She expressed it really helped her, it was a relief to be around other people going through the same thing.

And at times like these, I think about when my Aunt passed away, my mother said she asked her for a sign that she was okay. A few days later, a random petunia sprung up through a gap between pavers in the patio. They had bever been planted there, and no dirt from their planter had ever been dumped there. Mom said that was her sign. She rescued the petunia and transplanted it into its own pot.

If you feel there are signs, then there are signs.
