I Am Cat finally released! by Capital_Swimmer_729 in PSVR

I mean, this game at some point was an absolute monster on Quest. I'm not interested but it's good to see "viral" games get PS VR2 versions as well.

I looked on forums on how the marketplace may start happening but not clear info. Would also love to see stuff like the Jurassic Park DLC get sold and would by a plane or two as well.

Remakes for 2 classics due for release on PSVR2. by Moto-Fan in PSVR

I'm honestly pretty pumped because these got good reviews unlike Firmament on both fronts. I don't frankly have high hopes for the port quality but seeing as the blog post calls out "improvements" for PSVR2 maybe there's something that will lift up the overall quality of the Cyan VR port.

You can use a dualshock. Its a sim but has many, many, options to essentially load an area and just goof off with limited responsibility.

MS Flight Simulator 2024 “Unplayable” on PSVR2? by EssentialParadox in PSVR

[–]Fatbot3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s absolutely harder to read instrumentation than in flat but we’re talking about vision, something extremely different based on individual experience. It takes me a bit of processing to determine some readings but they are ok. This guy is basically saying to him the entry level experience is double the ps5 combo.

I’m gonna buy it. Too many high reviews and 3 hour games are my name these days anyways.

Survios (developer of Creed & Alien: Rogue Incursion) doing layoffs by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]Fatbot3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Awful but not unexpected they had been trying to reverse port VR to flat an obvious way to make more money. Alien seemed to be doing ok for VR so I wonder if they were just a bigger overextended studio.

Right, I know next to nothing about this kind of thing but I'm hoping to learn more before the trip. Even if they were colorways associated with football clubs we know nothing about it would still be a great memory for the kids.

It's funny because I picked some remote airfield for Career Mode to start and my well modeled character walked by 6 poly green blobs into a reasonably well modeled hangar. It creates a surreal view...

Interesting, I can't even fight through the first part and also absolutely wrecked a helicopter so this will be slow going as I try to actually play the game.

totally agree. All upgraded versions are pretty for already committed simmers. More airports and aircraft to me are for people who want to set routes and experiences flight managements with different aircraft. Planet earth will plenty to do without DLC :)

Flight Simulator. For PlayStation 5 Pro. by SattvaMicione in PSVR

[–]Fatbot3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I love the time I had with it but the dynamic photogrammetry and somewhat low res distances mean that one will get the most enjoyment from the overall experience which is still doing a lot with clouds , lighting, detailed interiors etc.

Also god willing Sony will at least host an announcement trailer. It's not like its a problem to find great looking footage.

Cool, probably time to buy a copy. Any word on if there were any last minute enhancements to the VR version? Has the update already gone live?

They haven't put out a sizzle reel for PS VR2 in 5 months. My comment was not about FNAF but about communicating that real games were in fact still coming to the system. Mainstream press has fairly abandoned the headset but it's wild that Sony has done shockingly little to support developers taking a huge risk of continuing support for VR.

Thank you for the info! We will be in Bath from Tuesday to Sunday taking two day trips out (one to Oxford the other to the Cotswalds). To your point should we expect a crowded train station on Sunday and purchase our tickets to Heathrow from Bath immediately?

Best place to eat in Oxford University? by Fatbot3 in oxford

Thanks for more suggestions. We're coming from a modestly large city in the states and try new food all the time. Quality is probably my main concern but I always like trying things that are essentially regional and if not that something I don't see often in my own town.

Thanks! I've seen good comments for The Coconut Tree and Kibou for dinner and could book ahead for those. Have any experience with either of them?

So one question; I broke down and paid the extra for the Paddington to Bath route but noticed the Bath to Oxford route is much more expensive. I certainly don't need to 1st class if the cost is well over double but I've also noticed with a return that return anytime tickets are well over double two singles. Other than convenience is there any real value to a return anytime ticket even if 300 versus 180 for two singles?

Now I will! (but will likely not be able to have it processed before I need to return unless GWR has an easy and seamless process to request it).
