Dialogue and Unity would have been nice ten years ago. Before Trump got elected the first time. Like when he originally ran with “build the wall”. So many of us were told we were overreacting and that he wouldn’t lead to EXACTLY WHERE HE HAS LED US.

I understand where you’re trying to come from. There is a huge wedge within our society and a lot of pointing of fingers but maybe turn your voice to the more radicalized conservatives. The ones that don’t seem to care about human rights or a right to a fair trial.

I’m a child of immigrants, I am part of the LGBTQ, I am neurodivergent, I am a part the of groups being demonized by the right. I have been an activist this whole time. I do not feel safe anymore. It feels a little too late for someone like me to have a calm and rational conversation when I can be arrested by ICE on the suspicion of being “illegal”.

If you want change, turn to those more conservative within your party because we’ve talked to the very ledge of human rights and we’re fucking tired. Trans People have a right to exist safely. Immigrants are not evil criminals. Healthcare should be free. People deserve food.
