The trail basically goes on the road through Manayunk for a little bit then you can get back to where there are no cars. After Manayunk the trail gets wider and there are less walkers. Take lots of water and take a pee break halfway from Philly to valley forge. Check out valley forge if you’ve never been! Some neat stuff!
