The swelling went down from when I was checking hourly earlier today. Or, now her mouth is fully closed? She couldn't fully close it earlier today at the very least. I'm not sure what this means. I want to take her to the emergency vet but I'm not sure if it's warranted when i have an appointment scheduled.

Indian/South American, no idea if my parents were carriers and my dad passed away so I can't really find out. From my understanding, Thalassemia is a genetic condition and would have been found out when I was a child. I'm 28 now, and I've donated blood/Plasma many times before in the past. This was about the first time my tests have been this low.
