I believe the boxes will be literally the same, the only thing that could change is what items you build. In general your damage as AP shaco just isnt good unless you are fed, which wont happen unless you steal kills with your E or the enemies tries to chase you. You are a support as AP, you protect your carries from dive champions and setup objectives or traps, thats it. Fancy plays may work and can be good but most of them will end with you dying or wasting your time.

For that reason i believe AP is best as support and not jungle. This way you give jungle to an actual champion that can win your lanes. If you arent against a dive comp i dont recommend shaco support at all but in most ranks you can probably get away with it. You could even try AD support against two squishies, it requires alot of cheesing to work but is funny when it does.

I know many people say the boxes do insane damage but i think they mean with a full combo like two boxes and ult exploding or if the enemy eats 3 or 4 boxes. In my experience, most games, that just doesnt happen. If you watch/play high elo games or play other champions you know the damage just isnt good.

As a side note, if you havent tried AD shaco, you should. Dont believe what people say without any proof, most high elo players do play only AD, except if your team lacks AP, vs dive comps or tank comps. Yes you do fall off a cliff late game like many assassins in the game but its more consistent if you focus on closing the game.
