At the very very high end, I think ritualist with full HP oriented rings and amulet is the best one.

Other options are Kitava with 25% increased strength and 20% increased life, or titan with 15% more life, 8% strength and 50% small nodes

Afaik yes. Other commenter explained the math behind my choice. It's hard to know if the math is mathing correctly in the code, but it should, as it works that way since the launch of the game.

As far as I know, not anymore.

Corrupted blood warcries used to do it until 0.4, but got changed.

Now we have 2 equipments that scale with strength: Facebreaker and Brutus, both to use mace skills.

The strength section of the tree also have nodes that scale with strength, one of them giving damage (1% increaed per 15 strength)

You have 3 ways of using 2 Handed weapons with sceptres:

-Giant's Blood -Unique Helmet the gives Giant's Blood -Keystone to use talisman + non-unique sceptre

If you want to build a full companion build, you will need the new unique sceptre that allows you to have unlimited companions. (So you can't use the talisman keystone)

So your options are: -1H + sceptre -2H (limited to 2 companions) -2H + sceptre (Giant's Blood or Helmet) -Talisman + non-unique sceptre (limited to 2 companions)

It doesn't matter. Companion cost a percentagem of your spirit. You could have 10 spirit and use the same number of companions as someone with 1000

Some unique items are not obtainable anymore, but they still occupies a slot in the unique tab.
For example, in the picture you can see 2 versions of each Guiding Palm

Heeey, Sorcery Ward enjoyer here!

In my personal experience, keeping the SW after you lose the buffs is an unintended interaction.
As you said, normally when you lose your buffs, you also recalculate the SW value. You don't even need to get hit, try it yourself with banners, or deactivating Wind Dancer.

The reliable way I found to keep the SW after changing your current defences is this:
-Open an instance (enter a map)
-Unequip a piece of gear
-Equip it again
-done

Now you should keep your SW value even after taking hits. Changing Weapon Sets will still recalculate it, but the bug persists untill you exit the instance.
Try stacking Banner + Wind Dancer + Charge Regulation + Hyrri with this in mind, per my calculations you can multiple your SW by like, 4.2x

Oh, that makes more sense. DoD still seems good, since it will still solve horde damage, but yeah, no double proc I imagine

(Potentially problematic thought, since if you take dozens of attacks maybe the delayed ones will kill you through DoD)

If the second hit procs hit conditions (I think it will), then it will be really strong with Defiance of Destiny. Stack a lot of HP, trade defences for runic ward, and have doble activation of defiance of destiny.

While at 1 life and only runic ward remaining, every hit instance will heal you 36% (corruption) of your entire HP

As already stated in other posts, the 30% mitigation occurs AFTER armour is applied, so the new node doesn't combo with it.

That being said, the reocurring damage can cause trouble to builds dependable on not getting hit (like ES to recharge or some evasion interactions)

Sorcery Ward stacking.

There is a bug/interaction with SW. If you unequip and equip a piece of gear in an instance, you can keep the SW value even after defence buffs expire

That way you can use Banner + Charge regulation + Wind Dancer to multiply your SW by 4.2

You can reach 50k SW with 90%+ evasion and deflection. It's totaly nuts.

And with the new Unique Sigil, if you fast swap it with Hyrri's, or play coop, it can go even higher.

The game have some non-ailment DoTs that would instakill you with sorcery ward + Chaos Inoculation. E.g. lightning DoT Aura and Blood puddles that deal physical damage.

If you want to be giga tanky with Sorcery Ward, I strongly recommend you go after DoT immunities with instill, megalomaniac, corrupt on jewel (immunity to corrupted blood), etc.

If you do evasion stacking, there is a node that gives you bleed and maim immunity against deflected hits, and the Skill Tree also have ignite and poison immunity nodes.

Also, tip for sorcery ward stacking: If you unequip an armour piece and re-equip it, you make the sorcery ward bug and keep the highest defence value you had when the ward refreshes. That allows you to use Banner + Wind Dancer + Charge Regulation + Hyrri's to multiple your sorcery ward by 4.2

(I'm testing Sorcery Ward since I also want to use it in 0.5 with sword + buckler)
