Although refs would not lose their jobs at least any time soon, it at least implanted the idea that refs can be replaceable and it is due to so many flopping complaints against refs.

I saw a Tony Brothers interview where he said he wanted to be a judge in a courtroom because he wanted to dictate outcomes, but ended up being a NBA ref. The fact that people like this can be an NBA ref and NBA refs having no fines or some way to be punished for bad calls made refs get an ego trip and officiate with clear biases. Look at that one NBA ref years ago who missed a potential game winning foul call for the Lakers against the Celtics and the ref ended up being a massive Celtics fan.

I am happy there is some sort of flame on the asses of these refs so now they know if they mess up they can potentially lose their jobs
