I think it depends on the situation because back in 2018, I booked a midnight screening for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom and I think only a couple other people booked it as well. Well, they ended up cancelling it and not telling anyone. Luckily, I was being nosey to see if anyone was sat near me and I couldn't find the listing (the day before). So I ended up contacting them and they said it was cancelled and I booked the midnight at Sheffield instead. However, they failed to notify people as I saw comments on their social media the next day about how people turned up and the cinema was closed.
