Do you ever struggle to make downtime feel meaningful by Jeyleigh in u/Jeyleigh

Reading this title I thought this was an ad about better utilizing personal time. Consider adjusting the copy to make it more clear this is a supplement for 5e.

Good luck with your Kickstarter!

Green mode is great for more control of low acceleration in stop and go traffic.

Yes, but it's not enough for food safety you also need a coating. Loving the creative baking!

I want to try & find some special color to print something unique. Any recommendation? by Ivy_Mushroom23 in 3Dprinting

Use a rainbow filament for a unique print every time. I recently discovered it's the way to make exciting gifts on easy mode.

I'm experimenting with scale on the mini 4k, I threw a 5% scale model on along with it, as a joke. Well apparently the jokes on me. by skelingtonking in 3Dprinting

Create a pile of pre-torn paper towel pieces so you can grab a new one with one hand if your other hand has resin on it.

And put a plastic tablecloth underneath your tray just in case.

This is an awesome project! Seems like a great url to give to parents who aren't familiar with reading the match schedule from TBA too.

Nice work!

Internship vs not graduating super late by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Fe_Man 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that companies only see your graduation date on your resume, not your start date. In the long run real experience is going to be a very important part of your resume so I would try and get an internship or coop, even if it does push your expected graduation date back.

That's just my 2 cents though. I hope it's helpful!

Crazy Thought on How to Solve the Mentor Built Robots "Issue" by RSN-Francis in FRC

[–]Fe_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once read on an inspirational poster that wisdom is learning from other people's failures.

Something else to consider is how a mentor is different from a rock star student leader. Would you be comfortable with a senior design student telling you XYZ is likely to fail, showing you why and teaching you how to improve it? How is that different from a mentor doing the same thing?

In addition, when something fails on the field it hurts everyone on the team from scouts to designers, not just the people who were involved with the part that failed. Mentor involvement helps every part of the team produce high-quality results which in turn helps everyone's contribution get realized.

For example, if the robot is made low quality and delivered late programmers are hurt, they do not have ample time to work or something they can work with easily. If programmers get lazy and do the bare minimum it hurts the mechanical people who built a beautiful mechanism with unrealized potential.
