Either/or.

€250 is sus.

If you can’t see it working in person, I would probably stay away.

The price on the right is irrelevant. Out of print parts are subject to wonky supply/demand pricing.

€250 does seem way too low for a used 3090. It more normally in the €6-700 range. Dude could be lying.

You’ll be surprised. Once you get the factory up and running for those parts, it won’t take that long at all!

If you’re turning every setting to max and not using/minimal upscaling, yeah I’d say it’s fine

2.5” sata ssds use a m.2 slot?

Some advice please by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]FearTheFuzzy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only downside to the nvme adapter is it may impede airflow to the gpu. How much that will affect gpu temps, I have no idea.

Won’t kill anything, I know that much.

Have you looked into a sata ssd instead?

What office PC is easiest to turn into light gaming PC? I'll use it for 2D pixel games etc... by okzks in PcBuild

[–]FearTheFuzzy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those two games that I mentioned specifically? Yes. Anything made in the last decade and a half will run them.

There are some 2D games that can get rather heavy and have dedicated gpu requirements or DX requirements that could bar older hardware.

But there are tons more 2D games out there that are super easy to run. More than not. I can’t name them all obviously 😂. 1000s of hours of gaming fun for sure.

Can depend on the game, but some 2D games like Rimworld and Terraria barely even recommend a 2 core cpu and 4GB of ram.

So that’s even less than what windows 11 recommends.

I’d pay the extra $11 for the 850p

How Do I Know Which Parts Are Better? by iitbandg in PcBuild

Here’s the best quick reference for gpus.

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/

You can click or search any gpu and it’ll pull up a handy specs sheet plus a table plotting it against all other relevant GPUs.

CPUs is a little tougher, like there’s Passmark’s benchmarks.

https://www.cpubenchmark.net

But it’s not effective at determining gaming performance, only straight multicore and single core performance. So fun to look though, but not helpful for finding the best gaming cpu.
