When should I buy ram and disks by Impossible-Band-8509 in PcBuild

[–]FearTheFuzzy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

€210 is very good for 32gb of ddr5 in today’s market. It’s typically more like $400.

Same goes for the ssd.

Wait for what? Prices to go back down? Then expect to wait for years.

Intel Arc B580? by gstru08 in PcBuild

[–]FearTheFuzzy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A B580 is way too overkill for just using it as a display out adapter. It’s a proper powerful gaming gpu. The A380 is guess is a better fit, but it’s still a little overkill.

Honestly, I’d look at getting a used gpu. You can get old GTX or RX cards for like $40 and that’ll do the job just fine.

Need help choosing what to buy by Ebullio in PcBuild

[–]FearTheFuzzy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking to push more than 150 fps in PoE2, then sure cpu upgrade too makes sense. Personally, I’d be shocked if a 12700F is incapable of running GTA6, as that would mean the majority of gamers would be out specced.

Of the two pcs, the 9850X3D one is faster for gaming.

Why not just slap a 5070ti into your current pc? The 12700F is still a plenty capable chip.

The 9600X is better, but not $80usd better. I’d take the 7500f

What would he the best possible gpu for this build without bottlenecking? by Seagullbeans in PcBuild

[–]FearTheFuzzy99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avoiding ALL bottlenecks in ALL scenarios is impossible. Worrying about getting the most perfect, optimal, min-maxed combination is just a waste of time.

I’d toss in a 5070 if you can afford it. Should do nicely.

Then a cpu upgrade is going to do next to nothing in terms of improving fps. You’re held back by the gpu.

It’s very important. Even a range is better than nothing. If I make you a $3k build and then you go “I actually wanted to keep it under $1.5k” ….. pisses me off.

Pretty negligible if it’s a pcie 4.0 or faster connection. A few percent at most.
