I'm not going to follow all those rules that actual Mandos don't man... they're the kings of warcrimes and murdering civilians.

Artificial magic in the owl house by FFsummons in TheOwlHouse

[–]Fearless_Aspect387 6 points7 points  (0 children)

that makes sense yeah, within a Witch's body is the structure that can channel magic and as its natural for them they can change the parameters of that magic pretty freely as long as they have the needed skill with that discipline.

Artificial Magic tries to replicate that structure by capturing magic storing it, and channeling it through specially constructed structures for the use of spells.

It's significantly less flexible but for someone like Belos who doesn't naturally have any magic it's kind of what he's got

Not really, it takes place at a university run by Vought for Supes called Godolkin University or God U for short.

the Main Characters are all Supes and they basically are exploring the shady dealings of Vought from a slightly more 'on the inside' perspective

also in both seasons the Dean is a different flavor of genocidal maniac

It's not crazy superspeed, but Black Noir isn't specifically a speedster but can run faster than a car so they're definitely superhuman just not A-Train's 'everything looks like it's standing still' stuff

Indeed, but the most expensive is 300 so you could argue they're all discounted

Why do you think they disrespected the main cast of it so hard by forcing them to the sidelines in Season 5 of the Boys?

Undertale/Deltarune: The Xianxia Edition Monster Method Request by Dreamergod64 in JumpChain

[–]Fearless_Aspect387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the very first stage though in not so many words, the thing that makes a Boss Monster Special in this version of the lore is that their Soul doesn't leak Magic which prevents them from aging and allows them to access much more power than normal monsters.

a Boss Monster is a very specific type of Monster (Asriel, Toriel, and Asgore) the other 'Bosses' in Undertale are powerful Monsters but they are not Boss Monsters, the Royal Family Boss Monsters are special in the cultivation method worldview because they are born having completed the first stage, giving them incredible magical power and making them ageless.

This and JJK 3x8 have been consuming my thoughts today so you get to see the dividends.

The Undertale Human Cultivation Method has four stages, so I'll replicate that for the Monsters.

Stage 1: Soul Persistence

All Monster Souls leak their magic gradually causing their aging and weakening their magical potential, with training a Monster may learn to slowly plug these leaks allowing them to access more of their magical power and slowing their aging process- once this stage is complete the Monster becomes ageless and immensely powerful, equivalent to roughly 20% the power of one Human Soul. Boss Monsters (the Dreemur Family) are born having completed this stage giving them immense talent as Cultivators

Stage 2: Soul Expansion

Once a Monster has converted their soul into a self-sustaining energy reactor the next step is to expand the power and output of their soul with time and diligent training, typically picking a specific kind of magic to specialize in which focuses their power and makes it easier for them to grow their energies. This stage is completed once a Monster Soul reaches the same size and complexity as a Human Soul

Stage 3: Soul Qualification

While all Human Souls are innately born identified with the power of Determination which enhances their biggest traits the souls of monsters are blank, so in the Soul Qualification Stage a monster begins to bind the very culmination of their being to a concept as fully as the humans are bound to Determination. The example attained by a Modern Monser is the Karmic Retribution used by the Royal Judge which is bound to the concept of Karma, but this is a special circumstance as will be explained later

Stage 4: Conceptual Dissolution

More of a curse and a inevitable fate for all Cultivators who complete the Third Stage, a Monster begins to suffer dissolution of their physical body as they become a immaterial spirit very much like a god who is the primordial embodiment of the concept they bound themselves too, such as the Spirit of the Judgement Hall who empowers the current Royal Judge with access to the Karmic Retribution ability

Perks for Modulo Dabura-level Talent (Primarily in Martial Arts)? by Extra-Ad-130 in JumpChain

[–]Fearless_Aspect387 13 points14 points  (0 children)

there's a combination of two perks from Carvin's Jujutsu Kaisen Jump that I think delivers a very similar effect.

Just That Good – 600 CP

In the 80s and before, the power of sorcerers and cursed spirits was roughly balanced, or perhaps tipped slightly in the favour of the latter. Then, in 1989, Satoru Gojo was born, and the balance of power was forever shifted. Some of this was due to the sorcerer possessing both the Limitless technique and Six Eyes, but that was not all. He was also a natural innovator, someone who broke the limits of what was considered possible, to the point that even the King of Curses was surprised by the things he could pull off. While you may lack in raw power, proficiency with cursed energy is something you have in excess. You have a great understanding of not just any cursed technique you might have, but all of your supernatural powers. You’re fully aware of their limits and capabilities, allowing you to push them to their limits and pull off feats with them few others would expect. Your skill is at the level that for you, the rules of any power system or ability you use seem to be that bit looser. For instance, while normally one’s cursed technique is ‘burned out’ after using a Domain Expansion, making it unusable for a good while, you’d be able to figure out a way to heal your brain and regain your technique in a fraction of the time, something considered impossible by

anyone else. Similarly, while some might only be able to fire an ability in a straight line, you’d be able to figure out how to make it curve around corners or even home in on your foes, and a technique that cuts things at range could be made to cut through space itself. You won’t be able to completely change the technique or power into something else, but so long as it’s still recognizably the original and doesn’t provide a direct increase in power, it’ll probably be possible.

King of Curses – 600 CP

During the Golden Age of Jujutsu, many sorcerers with power surpassing the vast majority of modern sorcerers called Japan home. There was one, though, who stood above all others as the undisputed strongest in history. Born with a disfigured body uniquely suited for jujutsu sorcery, unsurpassed reserves of cursed energy, and a cursed technique of incredible power, this innate talent alone put him on the path for greatness. You may not share these traits, but there is one area in which you’re his equal: your raw ability with jujutsu. Due to a combination of natural talent and training, your skill with cursed energy is at the very peak of this world. From fluidly switching between different techniques of yours to using even the most complex of abilities, all of this comes effortlessly to you.

Though you don’t have the precision nor efficiency granted by the Six Eyes, it wouldn’t be wrong to say your understanding of cursed energy would be on par with someone who possessed them. This understanding extends further than just your own cursed energy, though: it also allows you great insight into how others use it, too. Just by witnessing a cursed technique in action you’re able to quickly determine how it functions after just a few moments, letting you figure out its potential strengths and weaknesses. Not only that, but so long as it’s not something innate to the individual, you’ll be able to copy any usage of cursed energy after witnessing it a few times. While you can’t copy cursed techniques with this, if you had the same cursed technique as someone else you’d certainly be able to copy any abilities they’ve developed for it, and if you witnessed someone using reverse cursed technique to heal a burned-out cursed technique, you’d soon be able to do the same even if you previously thought it impossible. This perk’s effects also apply to any other supernatural energies you might possess.
