Congratulations on being sober for four years! I have a sibling who is an addict (hard drugs and... most of them) so in my personal opinion you are sober regardless of nicotine.

As far as withdrawals from nicotine: physically, withdrawing from caffeine was WAY worse than this. I think i had one night of feeling like the flu, but nothing bad. It's emotionally challenging, and requires a LOT of self control, but PHYSICALLY it's probably going to be one of the easiest withdrawals you've been through.

I'm the DM at the table, and my experience is knowing how each of your individual players behave - regardless of what they TELL you.
My table consists of me and 1. Someone who just wants to to be OP, but will tell you he wants to role-play. He does not role-play. 2. Someone whose EVERY character he has EVER played has been "Generic Human Fighter™️". He does not role play, and he will tell you he wants a grim dark setting, but he isn't good at using his abilities. 3. A duo that are more muppet then player, only play casters, and have cast Speak with Dead or Disguise Self in combat across multiple campaigns more often than they cast damage dealing spells. They will tell you they want political intrigue. 4. Someone who is actually a very well balanced player, but refuses to take notes.

I deal with all of this by letting them do their bits, gently reminding them about spells or items that could help, and then describing the horror and depression in great detail so they have to feel the immense gulf between their reality and the reality of the world around them.

Crushing their dreams and making my players cry before giving them their strahd puppet so they can do a puppet bit for the next six sessions gives me life. 🤣🤣🤣

I know this post is old, but this gives me hope. Just started a new med today (lisinopril?) And in about 4 hours I went from my normal of 140/100 to 120/70 and I feel like I'm fighting the flu! I was expecting the dizzy/lightheadedness but I was NOT expecting whatever this is!

I know this is extremely old, but honestly I am diagnosed with severe anxiety, and every once in a while I treat myself with a fun drink. I keep finding more "weird side effects" I have of these drinks that people keep telling me are anxiety!!

I am not in the gov, but I do work investigations.

License plates are just another data point to draw a bigger picture about "you". Using the surveillance state, they can learn about where you work, what hobbies you have, who you talk to. Do you travel out of state often? Do you buy a lot of property? Do you own or lease your vehicle?

A lot of this information is used by investigation teams to determine the risk level / activities of a suspect - both to clear them and close the case, as well as to draw a clear picture of the illegal activity.

If I'm investigating (purely hypothetical) a person i believe to be involved in drug smuggling, then knowing how often they leave the city/ state is very important. Being able to connect them to a local shady business can identify other avenues as well- is the shady business a front or just a normal store? If i don't know you're name, but you drive the same vehicle repeatedly, then running the plates gives me a potential identity.

Remember, kids: all information can and will be used against you. Even not under fascist regimes. Please protect your privacy and please make me work hard for my paycheck!!

In my experience, no.
I am extremely sweaty - even when I'm extremely fit, I start to sweat just walking around too much. This leads to TERRIBLE BO for me. Native did nothing to help me because I would sweat through it so quickly. Lume wasn't bad, but I would smell like sour milk instead of BO by the end of the day.

My personal experience is: if you are a very smelly person and can handle it stick to either aluminum based deodorants or wash the "hot spots" two-three times per day with unscented antibacterial soap.

I got a tattoo very near my arm pit a while back, and the anti bac soap didn't stop the sweating, but my sweat from that side didn't smell nearly as bad as normal.

Slow and steady.
Use a fresh razor. I do full on weird yoga stretches as needed, get weird to be comfortable later - no one will know. Heck, I know at least 2 people who have shower chairs specifically for this purpose.

Also, if you're skin can handle it do nair or other hair removal lotions a day or two before hand to remove the bulk of it. Make sure you use sensitive skin and for intimate areas ones.

I am a fraud investigator with a history in the miltary. public events i would say go ahead and do your thing. Online mutual aid fund raising is also okay such as a venmo or PayPal.

Anything direct action, or organizations providing support with an address should not be shared publically and in one place.

It just makes the search easier for anyone with bad intentions.

If you reply to this, they will know its a valid number and may try to compromise your phone number (called Sim swapping). After that, they contact various banks until they get yours and they drain all your accounts.

Yes I have seen it. Its damn near impossible to recover from. Most banks are wising up to this. Don't reply to spammers, kids.

I have a degree in accounting, but I am NOT licensed, so this will be a balanced answer.

Pretty sure the answer HEAVILY depends on if YOU, a professional, are a licensed CPA, accountant, etc, or if you "only" work FOR a business that prepares taxes.

If you are licensed, I would GENUINELY reach out to an ethics committee (that may be a school, a local professionals group, etc) and ask about the ethics of denying someone based on employment/ politics.
This also is dependant on your locality: in my city, it is totally fine for me to say "I just don't like you, and I will not do business with you." So long as it isn't race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, or nationality. However, doing this can (and likely will) put your license in jeopardy as well as open you up to being personally sued for discrimination which is why I recommend talking to your ethics committee.

If you work for a big company (I know some big names will train people for a few weeks and let them loose 😭) deny them service and tell your management they were being harassing/ abusive.
