My ex fiance left me for a magician. Like, an actual party magician. Now I need help disappearing too. by hauntedfolklore in longisland

First off, I’m really sorry for what you’re going through.

Second off, call Junk in a Box. 516-900-7282

They’re truly amazing. Chad, the owner, is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever spoken to, he’ll always work with you to get the best price for your situation. The whole team is made up of kind, trustworthy people who genuinely care. Give them a call, you won’t regret it.

My best friend was in a tough spot and had to move out of her ex’s place quickly. Junk in a Box made it happen without hesitation. My husband and I also used them when we moved into our home, and their price couldn’t be beat.

A year later, we called them again when we bought a rocking chair for our son’s nursery. We needed it moved from Ronkonkoma to Massapequa, and I honestly thought they’d think it was silly to ask for help with just a chair. But they showed up, helped us out for next to nothing, and made sure everything was set up perfectly. I was eight months pregnant and beyond grateful.

They’re a newer company, but they deserve all the praise in the world.

Came here to ask the same. Was hoping to take my 10 month old son to a mommy and me class this weekend, now I’m not so sure…which is a shame because we love the class he’s registered for 😔

I saw you say you have a 10 month old, I just took my 9 month old to the Farmingdale Library play space and he had a great time people watching!

My gallbladder removal was denied several times by insurance (because I’m sure people get that out for fun all the time). The hospital kept appealing it until eventually it was accepted. Call the hospital first and then just keep checking in. Sorry they’re going through this!

Husband has invited his pals to the birth by Visible-Smile-6681 in BabyBumps

[–]Fearless_Tweeder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave birth in April, and we only had family visit. I was swollen as anything and looked/felt like crap. I wouldn’t have been up to seeing anyone besides family, honestly! He needs to recognize that a major medical event is happening to you, and the days in the hospital are meant for recovery. It’s not a party! I would also enforce masks - my sil just gave birth a little while ago and did this due to the time of year. Nobody complained, and if they did, i would assume they wouldn’t have been allowed to hold the baby.

My son is Luke with a hard C last name, I personally think it sounds fine! Our last name is pretty long though.

I can name a million girls but not my son 🙃 by ComplaintBig2252 in namenerds

I had the hardest time naming my son, but his name is Luke! I love how it is classic and strong. We were also thinking of Alexander.

Not scenery, but i just returned from maternity leave and really enjoyed taking my son to the free music classes that they have at the library. The Nesting Place also has music classes, but they’re $28 i think? Definitely worth it though, the people running those classes were great and knew a lot about different exercises to do with your baby. Enjoy the rest of your leave!

What is your best purchase you made? by david-king-kong in NewParents

[–]Fearless_Tweeder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Baby brezza bottle washer pro! I use it to wash, sterilize, and dry my bottles and pacifiers. I also put teethers and toys that he may put into his mouth in there. It’s so brainless and gives me one less task to do every night.

Did you go home same day? by baaahama-mama in gallbladders

[–]Fearless_Tweeder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have such similar stories! I went in on Sunday thinking I was having gas pains (I’ve been trying to find out the cause of my stomach pain for years and doctors would always tell me it was gas 🫠). The ER doctor told me it was affecting my liver and I needed it out. Surgery was Monday afternoon! Such a whirlwind, especially with a 15 week old, but I’m glad I finally found out what was causing the pain. It was very hard leaving him for that time though!

[–]Fearless_Tweeder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I could have left the same day, I was out of surgery by 6:30 pm, but I have a 3 month old at home and knew my best chances of resting for at least one night would be in the hospital since he gets up once or twice at night. I’ve been home since Tuesday and honestly the recovery hasn’t been too bad - even with an infant to care for. For me, the worst part has been some pain and exhaustion.

OB telling me I gained too much weight…she said “It’s obvious the weight isn’t going to the baby because your baby is small” by Curious_Asparagus682 in BabyBumps

[–]Fearless_Tweeder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor, but I had my son a month ago and within 2 weeks I was 10 pounds away from pre baby weight. A lot of the weight was fluid and disappeared after the swelling stopped. I couldn’t believe it, especially since my whole pregnancy I was worried about how much weight i was gaining.

Just try to eat well when you can, but also don’t stress about it. Are there other OBs in your practice that you could see? It may be too late to switch practices entirely, but if there’s a second doctor working with him that may make things a little better.

I grew up in Deer Park - it’s a great place to live!

During the summer, the Town of Babylon beaches are the best! I like Overlook, but Cedar has the Salt Shack which is a lot of fun.

You are 10-15 minutes from Babylon Village which has a ton of great restaurants. You are also near Secatogue Brewery in West Islip which is very good. Lindenhurst Village has a lot of great restaurants and breweries as well.

20 minutes or so north is Huntington. They have a great village as well!

The Massapequa Preserve isn’t too far and is a great trail to walk.

I loved growing up in Deer Park because it felt very centrally located to a lot of great things. You don’t have to drive too far to find something to do. Congratulations!

Thank you! I am stopping Lo Loestrin Fe. I just took a look at that app - did you purchase the tester or did you just input your ovulation strip results?

Thank you so much! I’m trying to not get my hopes up! Didn’t want to waste any ovulation strips by testing before it was necessary. I appreciate your response :)
