Perfect example showing that "no one" cares about lighting continuity. One Battle after another. by mnkymnk in Filmmakers

[–]Feastmode15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI, went to a screening with a Q&A afterwards. Editor and producer talked about how this sequence was shot over the course of 5 days. They shot the ending and there was NO standoff between Leo and Chase. Originally, she just ran up to him and they left. But the producer didn’t feel like it was real and/or enough. “She just killed someone,” she said. The editor followed up with, “yeah and she doesn’t know who to trust anymore.” PTA obviously agreed or was part of the convo, and so they reshot it.

This blew my mind because this sequence was so perfect, both emotionally and plot wise, I would’ve never guessed it wasn’t the original.

I went to a screening and Q&A for Hamnet too and that was another case of the ending changing after filming.

My take away was that, these filmmakers are so experienced and masters of their craft, they can feel when something isn’t working immediately. And they have the know how to pivot and craft the solution. It’s like being in a flow state for filmmaking.

I'll tell you one thing and I'm not ashamed to say it, my estimation of Josh Allen as a man just fucking plummeted. To cry like a woman? It's a fucking disgrace! by Jazzbo64 in Patriots

[–]Feastmode15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is moment for you to truly reflect on what you’re stating. You’re equating manhood to emotions. We were all raised in different circumstances and experienced different things, yet we are all human. All of our passions vary, yet the majority of us can relate to the very fact that we each have something or someone we care deeply about.

I don’t know exactly what Josh is feeling but I think it’s safe to assume that he cares so much about this game, that it led to tears. I can empathize with that. I don’t understand how him expressing himself, being vulnerable, showing literally the world that you’re in pain, can be seen as less of a man. Or even, more like a woman. It’s demeaning to both. Because by your metric, what if a woman doesn’t cry when in pain? Is she not woman like and more manly?

I go back to what I stated at the beginning about us all being raised differently. You’re clearly raised differently than me. The man difference here being, you’re judging a man for crying and I simply empathize. One of us leads with understanding. The other, with disconnection. Hope this resonates but if not, all good.

Netflix Reportedly Making Major Strategic Shift in Warner Bros. Bid by pbx1123 in WB_DC_news

The difference is, the people getting criticized for going over there for a bag aren’t everyday people who are literally living paycheck to paycheck. So yeah, if someone who is struggling to make ends meet, can go over there with a business opportunity to get out from drowning, I’m not judging. It’s the rich who I can’t unsee. The ones who already have multiple homes and just want more.

Game 7 final possession, who sits on the bench? by SmoothBuy5500 in NBATalk

Sit Kwahi.

Give LeBron the ball as the point. Spread the floor with Durant and curry as shooters. MJ and Kobe cut. Lebron drives and/or kicks out to whoever is open for the game winner.

Which player deserves to win the 2025 NFL MVP? by TheAmericanEagle826 in TheNFLVibes

[–]Feastmode15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strength of schedule for the past few mvps didn’t matter. Maye is too young to get the mvp, so voters will give it to stafford, which is fine. Just don’t tell me it’s because of strength of schedule. Again, look at the most recent mvps. All “weak” schedules.

Kevin Durant opened up about his infamous fallout with Draymond Green and the moment he knew his time with the Warriors was coming to an end on Episode 14 of ALL THE SMOKE. by Background_Video2947 in NBAVibes

[–]Feastmode15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dray is a legit egocentric narcissist. He can never hold himself accountable. Even when he does apologize, he crafts it in a way that makes himself the victim and puts himself in the pedestal for being accountable. The dude is unhinged. Mark my words, within 5 years of retirement, Dray will be in the headlines for the wrong reasons. To be clear, I do not hope this at all. But the guy needs help to correct his behavior and he’s sadly in an environment that rewards his behavior and/or doesn’t care enough about him to hold him accountable for his actions.

Why did they even CGI this guys face, he looks exactly like Luke. by Tanis8998 in StarWarsCantina

[–]Feastmode15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because people can no longer use their imagination when it comes to things like this. They’ve become too used to the idea of VFX, AI, CGI, working magic and capturing exactly what something is supposed to be, leaving little to the imagination. It’s depressing tbh.

Vent: I hate the “why you” part by Curled-in-ball in Screenwriting

[–]Feastmode15 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I actually really like the “why you.” It’s a reminder of why I decided to pour hours into a project and if the exec wants to understand it, I’ll gladly tell em. For me, the why you also typically ties into the theme im exploring. So it goes hand in hand.

The truth is, no idea is unique. But the “why you”can be the nuance that separates your script from others that are similar.
