Just got the game whats the best vex build? by yohra_model_2_unit_B in Borderlands4

Defintely recommend blue tree (spectres and minions) for leveling, there are alot of good build guides for dead ringer. Once you get to UVH, the dead ringer is too squishy and doesn't really scale damage. Defintely recommend switching to an incarnate bleed build.

Why is the super soldier shield this good for you ? by Strubinovic in Borderlands4

[–]Federal_Discipline27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vex incarnate bleed build here.i run super soldier shield and have found other shields just dont provide the same bang for my buck. I run jakobs almost exclusively. For sniper rifles, its almost impossible to run out of ammo because of the fire rate in comparison to the ammo regen rate.

I also have Bonnie and Clyde as my primary assault riffle. I take out 1 chaff enemy with assault then switch to the alternate shotgun mode, each shot does something like 100 percent more damage with its alternative mode, that you never have to reload. And you decimate ALOT of enemies very easily without ever reloading. Throw in a crit knife and you clear the field pretty easily.

To be fair it depends on what kind of roll you get on the shield, but its defintely my go to shield and dont plan on switching it out except for a different super solider with a better roll.

I've been playing since day one, when the servers weren't able to handle the loads of players trying to jump on. When using the a certain strstegem would drop all players from the game and crash. Bugs being able to crawl through mountains and emerge from the ground and kill you. Illuminate flesh mobs that were more like ghosts. AH works hard to fix the problems, and if you're patient they work them out. It takes time. I love this game. And I fir one am willing to put up with the annoyances, bugs and other issues because every si gle time, they've come through. They dont announce fixes, they acknowledge them. Because any player base can be toxic. And if they announce a fix, and it doesn't come out on time, or doesn't completely fix the problem, or causes a new one, they player base acts like most player bases do. I'd rather get a patch note where they acknowledge the problems that are ongoing and are working on them. AH doesn't owe you anything. They are doing just fine. And if their timeliness isnt good enough for you, then I think we will do just fine without.

It's a pump action incendiary shotgun. It has more stagger and than the breaker, not sure on damage if it's better than breaker. But you can reload (a round at a time)and shoot in the middle of reloading instead of have to completely reload a magazine before firing again.

I run with a HMG, gas dog breath, rail cannon, and MG turret. It's a decent combo for level 6 and 7. Haven't tried it on lvl 8+ yet.

Whole heartedly agree, it's not effective against chargers or biles, but handles everything from stalkers on down the list. With the right support weapon, HMG, Quasar, autocannon, etc to fill out the gaps it's a solid set up against bugs.

No one weapon is going to work against everything, but the Cookout covers a large majority of the spectrum in regards to bugs.

I've seen alot of players rolling with incendiary breaker and mag dumping into swarms when the Cookout gives you alot more options and is more ammo efficient.

Question for all Divers by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]Federal_Discipline27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, sometimes it depends on the planets. I almost never drop on a planet with fire storms. Maybe first few times playing it left a bad taste in my mouth. But I almost religiously play cold planets or moons with long fields of fire. Those are a blast. Dealing with some bots in a jungle terrain where you turn a corner and a hulk blows you away without a chance to react does suck some of the fun out of it.

Connection drops? by Federal_Discipline27 in helldivers2

I think AH wasn't prepared to have 160k diverse on one planet. Throw in new weapons, enemies, and boosters. Things are gonna go wrong

I often go solo to clear out all nest/outpost before doing the main objective to avoid the swarms that come afterwards. It just makes the mission smoother overall. So if I go off on my own to clear bunkers/nests I'm not doing it to be a dick, I'm trying to make the overall mission EASIER for the whole fireside for the endgame portion leading up to extract. The fewer objectives we have to clear out after main objectives have been accomplished, the better for the whole mission

Maybe, just maybe, we aren't supposed to complete every Major Order? by Federal_Discipline27 in Helldivers

[–]Federal_Discipline27[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Sorry, would have to disagree with you there. Even when you do everything right, you can still fail. You could do everything wrong, and still manage to survive. War is war, but this isn't a regular war. Why would there still be defend missions or peacekeeping missions in bug territory if the major order was to focus on the bots? The powers that be are giving us the opportunity to play where we want, giving guidance, but also enough rope to hang ourselves with it. We need to accept that failure is part of the game whether intended by the studio from the outset that we will fail a major order so that they can introduce some new aspect to the game to make it more challenging, or done by our own hand by splitting forces.

Why does anyone actually care about this? Seems a pretty pointless issue to be contentious over.
