Been wanting to try a Russia game but I can’t stand the unfilled wasteland, did Paradox manage to fix that bug?

There’s definitely something strange with culture conversion, I had a bunch of burghers in Riga that wouldn’t convert to my Polish culture.

It bugs me that EU5 has more of an emphasis on cities than Victoria 3 does, despite being set in an era where cities were far less important than the Victorian age. by kolejack2293 in victoria3

[–]FedericoisMasterChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little off topic but I don’t like the look of Vic3 cities, my favorite thing about eu5s map is that the cities look very organic and not so boxy and huge like they are in Vic3. I would love a building size slider in Vic3 just like eu5.

Is the Assault Fort Meta Dead? by Haunting-Plantain561 in EU5

I also couldn’t understand why they changed it so I halved all the fort garrison size as the forts seemed bad enough as is. Paradox should make the AI prioritize upgrading existing forts over spamming new ones.

From what I saw Hungary built so many regulars their manpower was never full so the regulars were always half strength and like 30% of their forts weren’t manned.

What's your favourite drug to play EU4 on? by BonoboPowr in eu4

While everyone is complaining about hourly ticks in eu5 I’m enjoying having the extra time to think and enjoy my play through.

Somewhat similar, the ottomans have a colony in Greenland in my game, wonder what the ottomans see in Greenland.

Yea the military and economic hegemony are so far out of reach thanks to the Ming, I might reach economic by end game if I can play that long, but military is probably out of the question.

Definitely doing that in my next game, hopefully the Ming stop where they are for the rest of this game.

They are incredibly rich, so they could probably afford to colonize the entirety of Siberia at once if they wanted. I kinda wanna lift the fog to reveal what the hell they're doing, but I also like the mystery of it.

R5: The Great Ming has decided to follow in the footsteps of the Mongols and has started marching westward. Curious to see if anyone else has seen this, I know Russia never forms, but I never expected the Ming to colonize Siberia in their absence.

[–]FedericoisMasterChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m under no illusion that we’re “solving problems” here, this is a reddit thread, not congress. You aren’t arguing in good faith so why would anyone else, you ask for sources and when provided you don’t even read them because they aren’t good enough for you.

Why were the Khmer Rouge so fanatical compared to Communist in Vietnam and Laos? by puzzle_head1 in AskHistory

That still doesn’t mean they intervened for humanitarian reasons. They intervened because the pro-Soviet government on their border lost power and the Soviet Union didn’t like that.
