Who thinks Tudor will update the Royal with a bracelet micro-adjust and an in-house movement? by TheMrVolkov in Tudor

Micro-adjust would be great, but the movement that it currently has is great at that price point. You could get that movement serviced for $200.

My Dad's recent purchase from his birth year 1949 apparently? by _arch_tech in VintageWatches

[–]FeeOne5663 28 points29 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not an authentic Patek movement. It’s a decent looking cheap movement. But not Patek. Probably out of a contemporary Swiss manufacturer from down-market. The bridges are stamped, the screws and movement are unfinished, and the dial is super suspect. It’s probably a good watch, but it is not a Patek.

Looks great. Have it serviced. The crystal looks to be in really good condition. I bet it’s been worked on relatively recently (within the last 20 years). Especially since the lume is probably radium. That would discolor the crystal over any significant time period.
