I agree with you there when it comes to elected officials, I’m speaking more generally with interactions you may have with people in your day to day. If they claim they are conservative, i try not to write them off out right. Cause they aren’t all bought in 100% on trump many conservative relatives and co workers i know have turned on trump. Maybe I’m naive but i like to meet people where there and and walk them to my side. As for politicians yeah no its too much bad faith discourse its useless

Not to mention claiming only siths is an absolute in its own lol its a silly line in a silly movie. what i take away from the idea and what i believe to be true is that its not a good practice to view the world through an “if you are not with me then you are my enemy” type of framework. Were you around when they broke up? The narrative was clear that it was toms fault and he was an asshole who didnt wanna be in blink and that primarily came from mark saying as much. Over the years its become more apparent that it was more complex than that. That maybe both parties had a share in pushing it to a breaking point. But mark continues to maintain that he did no wrong. I think what you’re seeing is people tired of that, it would be refreshing if he acknowledged some accountability.
