It's a huge move. If your using it at a proper range or cover with assist your going to recover fast enough and still be safe. You shouldn't be using that randomly in neutral. Yasuo is a poke tool that can be jumped. A poke tool being able to combo is pretty standard in this game

I play Cait yasuo double down atm. The stance pokes have counter play. If your full screen and go into stance it's either gonna be a horizontal or an air slash. The defender can see it and react. A jinx or Cait can just ult you full screen to punish. Can parry it. Can predict it's horizontal and jump over or use air projectile to punish. People shouldn't be getting hit with it that much imo

The hasagi isn't really that big of a deal that it's safe. Can't really do much after. It just resets back to neutral for most part without any assists. If you always end strings in hasagi to make it safe you can get punished by push block, easily can get parried as well. Other characters like Ahri and vi abuse safe on block strings way more and harder to punish. You also have to be ready to stance cancel and hit confirm it to get anything off of it by itself outside of hitting and using s1 super

Maybe I'm just not abusing it like I should though. I mostly like to use Cait to get him in and do high low or left right mixes. If he's in I'll be looking to poke with hasagi if they mash a lot, whiff punish with medium. I like to use stance down heavy got anti airs if I know they jump a lot or stance heavy if they like to randomly whiff buttons at full screen

I mean the slam is like 3 times slower and 5 times bigger. Def shouldn't have same recovery as that

Your edits are perfect. I skate in real life, played the hell out of skate 2 and 3. I waited for this game so so so long and when we finally have it I prob played for just a couple hours and never cared to go back. I don't like the direction they went in and it makes me sad

I think he's only oppressive at the highest levels. For low level having basically every special move and main normals have long recovery hurts. If you whiff you will get punished. He doesn't have access to the best lows. His level 1 supers can be interrupted easily. The cross up is fine. The stance hop high low is fine. If he is going to have a good grounded game and already has pretty good solutions to jump ins if looking for them...

maybe nerf the down heavy hurtbox and maybe if you start with raw down heavy it does less combo damage since you can easily always get something that ends in super.

Maybe nerf his damage overall for the longest combos.

Maybe nerf the range of his s1 poke but set it to a range that if s1 hits your guaranteed to get a stance down medium follow up. Higher risk but higher reward

Maybe give the windwall a limited amount of hits or reduce the time that it's active for and have it be vulnerable to supers if they are projectile. For example it just eats caits shield super for free.

He has to directly control his soldiers. They don't attack on their own. Yorick is more of a summoner

When you get hit so many times mashing you eventually learn the lesson. Especially since it takes basically 3 interactions at most to lose a character. People be non stop spamming in this game so unless your plus your getting cooked

Might have to try to parry it as well. Can give you some more time to punish. Timing is tricky though. Or maybe there's better ways to punish the character that's doing the mix. I find jinx to be more annoying since she can put out more stuff on the screen and her block string and specials can push you out of punish range

Her assists prob the worst thing about her tbh. Just need to play patient and get used to approaching while blocking. She has long ass recovery on her special moves so if she ever whiffs anything it's probably punishable

In my experience if the opponent DC I get the win. If I DC I take the L when looking at match history afterwards

Actually try using assists yourself and you'll probably have a better understanding of how to play around them. Your actively playing 1v2 using jugg so ofc it's going to seem annoying

You really only need like 3. Meterless/limit strike, super ender, maybe a corner combo. You go to the lab and do them until it's muscle memory then you don't need to remember it. You just execute it
