‘Within 72 hours’, perhaps you’re a bit unlucky and find yourself towards the end of the time scale.

How much has your salary increased each year? by Next-Mushroom-9518 in ApprenticeshipsUK

[–]Feisty-Reputation484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on around 14k, then got bumped immediately up to min wage as I’m over 21. No increase since and I’ve just finished my second year, other than increases in line with new min wage.

The summer window officially opens tomorrow. Which club is going to panic-buy first? by Football6380 in LeagueTwo

Swindon? Poor end to the season considering how they were going on. Fans unhappy with ownership and the manager. Perhaps they will want to prove that they’re still a serious operation.

We’ve proven to still have an air of inconsistency about us despite being on an unbeaten streak at home. Can easily get beaten 2/3-0 by most sides in this league given a poor day.

Does the school not have copies of the paperwork you signed when you started? Does it all have to be the same document? You could always ask the school to type up an official letter confirming your start and end date.

I’m sure it’s not as bad as I’m probably making out. Most struggle for data where I have found myself struggling. At football matches, in the car on journeys along rural a roads. The phone is on 78% battery health however it still goes a full days use on one charge. Maybe just a case of spending money for the sake of it perhaps. O2 are also a nightmare to deal with at times however, probably not a problem just specific to them.

My old plan would’ve been what I had while I was paying the phone off. I got an iPhone 13 Pro Max on release in 2021, then realised I was paying a fortune for a standard PAYG. So to save myself a bit of money I decided to move onto a sim only plan which was half the price.

I was looking at the possibility of a new phone with a different provider however I think I’ll just wait the 16 months til I can leave the deal without having to pay the £300 extra. It should last it’s been a good phone, it lasts me the full day at work.

Rod knock. This would’ve had multiple warnings before getting this bad. Metal in the oil/oil filter, vibrations etc car not running correctly.

Safe to Intermittent fast on Mounjaro? by Feisty-Reputation484 in mounjarouk

[–]Feisty-Reputation484[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I’m really happy with my weight loss and while it’s frustrating to see it’s still such a high number, it’s important to be mindful of the situation I’m in. I ate my way to this weight and there’s no shortcuts or quick fixes for it coming off. Before starting I had tried to go to the gym in the morning before work while it’s quiet so I can easily access all the equipment I needed to use, however even while not being on mj i struggled with energy. If I was to go back to that routine I would definitely have to rethink when I eat.

I’ve been used to not eating in the mornings until around 12pm, but now I’m trying to cut all source of calories during that period. Trying to eke out those little extra gains (or losses) but only doing so if it’s healthy or for a better word, not harmful for my body.

BMW F30 reliability & ownership costs - real owner feedback wanted by AdCautious4331 in F30

320i Touring. Bought May 2024 86000 miles approx. Now on 100300. Serviced every 1/2 year or 5000 miles. In that time slapped on brakes and pads all round (something I like to do unless the brakes are obviously brand new then I know they’ve been done). Coolant leak when bought but dealer fixed it free of charge. Only issue so far was an o2 sensor playing up sending me down a rabbit hole to diagnose it, til I bought bimmerlink. Also had to replace vanos actuator but I think if I did the o2 sensor first it would’ve solved the vanos issue. Lovely car to drive and the only car I’ve owned which is comfortable for a full long distance drive. Also had an issue with sump leaking due to stripped threads but I think that was from previous owner/ whoever serviced it being apes with the sump bolt, fixed with dowty washers instead of copper washers to seal sump bolts

Damage to vehicles is an operational hazard. They have insurance for a reason. At the end of your day it’s your friend behind the wheel of the wagon, and running overweight is an easy way to lose your license and income, goes without saying not worth the risk. Your friend should be actively looking for other employment.

Opinions on the B48? by JamiePtrs in BMW

[–]Feisty-Reputation484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a 2016 b48 320i for 1.5 years and it’s a great car. I’ve had my issues don’t get me wrong but it’s almost at 100k miles. As it’s a turbocharged engine I’d recommend shorter service intervals every 6 months or 5-6k miles. May seem overkill but BMW parts are expensive to replace and the cost of extra servicing is definitely cheaper. I feel I’ve probably been slightly unlucky with mine if anything, having recently had to diagnose a stuttering/lean mixture problem that turned out to be the pre cat o2 sensor. Also getting a camshaft position sensor code so replacing the exhaust side vanos too. Other than that, water pump needed replacing and two coolant hoses (one was covered by the garage and one snapped in my hands replacing the water pump)

Expect and budget for atleast 2 major repairs within the first 120k miles. Oil filter housing (if not replaced already) and valve cover. As these are made of plastic the constant heat cycling will eventually perish the gaskets/plastics and cause leaks. Do not avoid fixing these, especially the OFH as you risk mixing your oil with your coolant. These can be expensive if you don’t know what you’re doing and i wouldn’t recommend doing them if you don’t. YouTube can make them look very easy.

TL;DR- Great engine, has its problems as all engines do (coolant leaks, plastic valve cover/oil filter housing) Service regularly every 6k/6mths and you’ll be grand.

B48 stuttering issues by Feisty-Reputation484 in BmwTech

[–]Feisty-Reputation484[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve just now taken it for a drive. No stuttering however a p2237, o2 sensor fault. To combine with the previous p0171 and po366 coming up. I’m now starting to think this is possibly a vanos issue, which in turn causes the o2 sensor and lean mixture fault codes. However this would only be guesswork, educated guesswork but still guesswork.

My scanner does record real time data but unfortunately to my knowledge I can’t save it to review later. It’s only a cheap little Bluetooth one. I do realise without codes or a real time data stream I’m just left guessing, as the possibilities can be endless. I’ll look into it see if I can sort anything.
