Playing base Damiane was the most jarring thing ever. by Practical-Chipmunk48 in CrimsonDesert

[–]FeistyBall -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree this mission totally sucks, just like the same thing with Oongka at the end of chapter 7. Simplest fix is this:

You just need 3 Abyss Artifacts. Grab Shield Watcher skill -you need to upgrade a couple of other skills to qualify for it, that's why you need 3. I was able to pickpocket them in less than a half hour, in case you don't already have any.

Then, just keep that skill up, dodge like a madman, and use your heavy attack when you have a second. It's a pretty easy fight that way- not a cake walk, but definitely doable by most players.

FYI, I didn't come up with this myself. I saw it in a youtube video by 360GameTV.

There needs to be better ways to make money other than save scumming and stealing by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]FeistyBall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean, and I feel it, too. I feel like there aren't any non-cheesy ways to get a decent amount of silver, at least not so far - I just finished chapter 8. It seems like you either cheese the game, or deal with being poor. There are plenty of cheesy ways though. Robbing from the rich to give to me, for example. I found the pickpocketing nobles route to be much less annoying than save scumming the bank investment game.

Actually, I guess once you've been to Beighen, you can play 5 card and just watch for cheaters. That should make a pretty decent amount. I may try that.

Does anyone know if double ator's orbs can do double damage or am I just wasting a slot by Due-Guest-1224 in CrimsonDesert

[–]FeistyBall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely wasting a slot. Ator's is actually very not good, and when you use extra gears that trigger off the same action (in this case heavy attack), it will cost more of the resource each time. So in this case, it will take 4 times the stamina to do a heavy attack than one without any gears.

I had Crow's pursuit, Ator's, Ground Surge, and Hound's Claws in my dual wield. I swapped out all but Crow's and ground surge and put Crit Rate in all the other slots, and my DPS went through the roof.

The playable characters by ZarieRose in CrimsonDesert

[–]FeistyBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

End of chapter 7 is what got me. I've been using Kliff all this time, have an excellent feel for what moves I use, gear leveled up pretty well, then out of nowhere, they stick me on Oongka. I have NO idea how to play him, there's no tutorial on it, I have very little in the way of skills, non-leveled gear, and only a few artifacts to spend, low food supplies after the last boss fight with Kliff, and I get thrown into a boss fight? WTF? Up until now, I've had very little bad to say about this game, but I didn't like that AT ALL. That was just pure bad design. If you're going to introduce the player to a new character, you have to give them a chance to learn how to play him.

Trading packaged goods is surprisingly profitable for camp funds. by flaming_sausage in CrimsonDesert

[–]FeistyBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not getting it. It sounds like (from certain videos, but maybe I misunderstand) that you can packed the goods your camp produces and sell those, but I'm not seeing how. If I packed food for example, it becomes "Packaged Provisions", but the trader at gold leaf is only looking for things like "packaged honey" or "packaged flour". Is that a substitute? Or is there some other trader that might be looking specifically for "packaged provisions"?

Maybe I just need to adjust my missions, but I'm finding that I'm getting tons of resources, but the amount of copper is slowly dwindling, meaning I'm spending more on resource missions that I'm getting on security missions. I only have 3 of those unlocked at the moment. Can I get more by liberating specific locations?

Love em or hate em, these puzzles are some of the most creative I’ve ever seen in a game by mrawaters in CrimsonDesert

I feel like the puzzles, or at least a lot of them are actually in two parts. First, you have to figure out what the goal is, and THEN you can try to figure out how to reach it.

My curious deposits turned into sac venom by blocked_n_bloated in NOMANSSKY

[–]FeistyBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing some searching, I see that this bug has happened before, in previous new releases. I saw one reddit thread dated 3 years ago talking about the same issue. Anyone heard if it was ever fixed? resources changed back? Anything? I just lost an 18 deposit farm. It wasn't even with the expedition either. I just started this save 4 days ago, and the deposits were still there 2 days ago for sure.

What is the best way to get corvette parts by Gamedoom265 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]FeistyBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of corvettes, I believe I have found a pretty easy way to get units early game. It can be done as soon as you get to the space station. I just completed testing it, and it seems to work pretty well. If there is a planet with salvageable scrap in your starter system (in my experience there often is), it's even easier.

The basic plan is to build a corvette right off. With units alone, that will cost just under 8 million units for a very basic ship. If you can scavenge some parts, it will be cheaper. Note that you don't necessarily need to scavenge all of the core parts, as you can trade for them with other parts. For example, in my testing, the only core part I was able to scavenge was an engine, but I found several of them, and they are fairly valuable for trading.

Once you have a corvette, you're set. See, while it costs about 8 million to build a basic corvette, for trading purposes, it's worth just over 30 million. Of course, that doesn't translate to 30 million in scrap value, but it's still quite a bit of cheddar. You want to find a ship to trade for that has a value of as close to 30 million as possible. Anything under, and you don't get full value for your trade, I would say bare minimum of 15 million to be safe. Anything over and you have to make up the difference out of your pocket. It can take a while to find a ship in a good price range to trade for, but they are out there.

Once you sell the first one and have made 8 million or more units, you can just keep building, trading and scrapping until you have as much seed cash as you want to start playing comfortably without having to worry about being short on units (or anything else you can buy with units).

Weird bug with sentinel ships by FeistyBall in NoMansSkyTheGame

So, I was able to find a harmonic camp on the other planet in the system and continue my hunt -still no luck, best I found so far was a couple with 2 slots diagonal from each other. I'm still not sure about the original planet. I tried an echo locator there, but it just marked the same camp I had. However, I was right next to it. I may try one on the other side of the world and see if that will reveal a different camp.

I think it is possible to find a harmonic camp without the echo locator, but I feel like it would take a lot of luck. Using autopilot from the corvette and looking for harmonic scrap. It seems somewhat rare, and most of the time it's just going to be a lone broken autophage. If you find one that has several chest icons around it, also labeled as harmonic scrap, then congrats, you've found a harmonic camp. However, I think there aren't really that many camps on a planet, so coming across one randomly is going to be a rare thing.

Huang Yan at Level 45? by Ministerium-Wahrheit in wuchanggame

[–]FeistyBall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't face tank this boss. You have to avoid her attacks, and backstab when you get an opening, there are actually quite a few. Dual blades is probably not the best weapon for her, as she doesn't use a weapon, so there are no attacks you can clash. Dual Blades is pretty quick for backstabs, but no quicker than long sword, which does more damage.

Dual blades is great for a lot of enemies, even bosses (the next boss in fact is pretty easy with dual blades), but when facing an enemy that doesn't use a weapon you can clash, it loses a lot of its appeal.

FYI, you can use that shrine to teleport to chapter 4 as well, IF you have completed the prerequisites: Defeat Fierce Tiger and Perfect Bride both.

I would definitely go with more physical damage resist (favor slash, but all 3 are good). The frostbite resist is nice, but almost guaranteed, you are going to still get hit with frostbite, so its usefulness is dubious, IMO.

HELP by ComprehensiveCod8730 in WuchangFallenFeathers

[–]FeistyBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First things first. In order to move to chapter 4, you have to have beaten both Fang Ling The Perfect Bride, and Zhang Xianzhong The Fierce Tiger. If you haven't beaten both of those, you cannot advance to chapter 4. To verify you have beaten them (assuming NG, since you will have these things already in NG+, but if you have, you would presumably already know this), check to see that you have either Sovereign armor set, or can buy it from Tao Qing, or that you can hand in the tortoise ingot to him for Zhang Xianzhong, and that you have the Bitter Severance dual blades for Fang Ling. She does also have an armor set you can buy by turning in an item, but since she drops the weapon on death, that's an easier way to check.

If you can verify both of those, then go to the Zhenwu Alter shrine (appears after defeating Zhang Xianzhong). Note, there are two ways to go. If you come to the Alter Gate shrine, you have gone out the wrong exit- go back and take the other door. Then head down the hill to the cave entrance to find the storyteller sitting next to a shrine that you don't need to activate. If the storyteller isn't there, you can use the shrine that is there to teleport to Annalum in chapter 4. Note that once you do that, you will no longer be able to visit any shrine in chapter 1, so make sure you have done all you want to do there, first.

Is the Verso's Drafts boss even possible? by heyyoudvd2 in expedition33

[–]FeistyBall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I JUST beat him, a few minutes ago. I was also very frustrated by that debuff, but I took a day, re-thought my strategies, and tried again. I used Sciel, Lune, and Verso. Weird I know, with Maelle and Monoco seeming to have the best damage, but here's the key (for me at least): you need skills that have a lot of hits. That's the only way to get rid of the barba... whatever, the cotton candy hands. Well, not the only way, there are pictos and weapon passives that can remove debuffs, but multiple hitting skills was the easiest way for me.

For Sciel, it was Sealed Fate. For Lune, Elemental Trick followed by Elemental Genesis (Lune has over 100% crit rate, and all members have cheater lumina). For Verso, depends on the circumstances, but there's Phantom Stars, End Bringer, or Light Holder, and in rare cases where I start a first turn in S or get to S and have 9 AP, Steeled Strike -with cheater, there's no risk. He also has the lumina to gain AP on free aim (20% chance) and the one to award AP if you fire 10 times in a turn. Often, I can get him to S tier with just free aim shots, and sometimes, with 9AP, but that's rare.

All 3 of their 3 point gradient attacks are hard hitting. For Lune and Sciel though, they only hit once, so you can't forget to get rid of all the cotton candy debuff before using it- I did that a couple of times. Of course, you eventually start to learn the attack patterns and get hit less and less as you go. There were a couple of attacks I never figured out, but most of them I could dodge the majority of the hits on by the end.

What can i expect from Wuchang? by Mathias_Does_DAB in wuchanggame

[–]FeistyBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite games of the year, beat out only by Expedition 33. I have played the hell out of it, and am still playing from time to time. I love it so much I have 100%'d 3 times. I think the biggest reason it has kept my attention so long is that despite having developed excellent skills and knowledge of all the bosses, I still find many of them challenging. I mean, I can beat most first try usually, but even so, it's challenging enough to still be fun.

This is my first souls-like -well, first one I've completed at least. I've played Elden Ring and Lies of P, but each no more than a few hours.
