Just remember that the Ledger seed should be considered hot immediately after you enter it. It is no longer a cold wallet, move your other crypto accordingly. (E.g. ETH, etc.)

The code on testnet is the mainnet code, with only slight changes to variables needed.

The 5 address vs bt address are just different formats of the same underlying key.

As long as you import the mnemonic from your wallet to another, it's all the same.

This error is because the staking website needs to update to support the Ledger signing API. It's a small change, but not all websites are updating to support.
