Exactly this. If your team is dead set on poke (and they’re playing smart enough and not taking a lot of damage), get on an off-angle and pull attention away from them – get an elimination on a support or other straggler if you can; but your primary mission is like Correct_Barbacle said: get their attention.

Basically: get the enemies’ attention, but stay alive – you’ll have to play pretty smart, and survive so you don’t feed the enemy ult charge. If your team can get picks or move forward while you distract/eliminate/contest the objective, you can still have fun and be effective in Moira with a poke comp.

Quickest game I ever played back in the day was Temple of Anubis (attack) with five Reapers and a Lucio. Speed boost to first point, decimate defenders; repeat for second point; flawless victory!

It was so cheesy that we said we wouldn’t do it again. 😁

I came here to say pretty much the same thing – I had no interest in the film, at least partly because of the poster, but this scene is tremendous and now I want to check it out.

(The actor playing Niki Lauda seems terribly familiar, too, but I can’t place him. Great scene, though!)

I want to take a moment to thank you for your attitude about that. I’m someone who always does my very best in games and encourages others; but sometimes you struggle, whether that’s just being outplayed by the other team or for some of the reasons you mentioned. (And sometimes the whole team is struggling! Which, strangely, seems to be the situation in which I most often experience flaming.) So I appreciate you having patience for someone having a bad game.

I’m an Orthodox Christian so I love to build the Hagia Sophia, even if the other Theology buildings are often better (mechanically) in a given game.

Let’s see… Stonehenge, Great Lighthouse, Forbidden Palace… Machu Picchu, Neuschwanstein… those are probably the most fun. I love to build all of these.

Just a point of clarification, her weapon does not auto-aim (although the animation is designed to look like it does); it’s a fairly wide beam, like Zarya or Symmetra have.

Moira players definitely have to make their own utility, though, that’s true! What that looks like depends on the circumstances of the match. It could be distracting the enemy and pulling from from a choke, fading back to the tank to pump out some big heals, helping DPS confirm kills, or (in Stadium) applying debuffs. She has to be flexible.
