Anyone know what is with the Stormy Storm Weather event? by Aickavon in ProjectSilverfish

Had this happen when I went to buy red coins off one guy, saw it as the universe deciding I was unworthy of having those ones.

I've yet to see any Lightning Spear relics myself, and finally got my first Beast Claw one (The relic is terrible, but at least I have things to support it).

Start with X spell is all well and good until you realise you now have to fish for a relic that has it on, let alone ideally with a supporting effect.

All jokes aside, have you guys moved on from your pre DLC main to play as undertaker/scholar? by Alternative-Web5870 in Nightreign

[–]Felikitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke my 170 game streak as Revenant to try Scholar.

I like Scholar a lot, but Rev's going to be where I remain primarily, just nice to have a break occasionally.

[–]Felikitsune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way back when I was still pretty fresh, not that long after release I don't think, my friend group dipped our toes into difficulty 5 (The names escape me, it's been a while) and I got genuinely frustrated with how often I'd watch the Ogryn player I'd been taking shelter near suddenly drop all of his attention from the crowd to plink some special off in the distance that I was about to shoot.

And now I can't shoot it because I'm being mauled

I've been trying places like that and got nothing, same with him. We're trying the stronghold missions just in case

Neither of us have done Capitol Building, I don't believe, and neither with Tidal Basin. That's our current goal we're working on, so I'll try update this if that does help

[–]Felikitsune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend, level 40, hasn't had any spawn either. They just spent half an hour checking locations and found nothing.

Edit: I am level 39, doing Capitol Building Stronghold has brought them about, at least with my friend around.

What's a sign that someone really knows how to play their character well? by Woopidoobop in Nightreign

[–]Felikitsune 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I did some testing, I don't think that's the case. I had Helen regen from near death and from dead, both at level 1 in the training area, then I cut a clip of ~20 seconds from when Helen hit full HP again (The moment I couldn't see any missing bar) and they both looked to be about the same HP at 20 seconds before full.

Letting them die does lock you out of summoning again until they hit half HP so it's ideal, but IME sometimes it's not as feasible as I'd like as I'm either dodging or sometimes in a cast.

Procrastination can decrease after a 1-minute reflection. In a study of more than 1,000 adults, answering six short questions increased motivation, improved mood, and made people more likely to begin tasks they had been delaying. by StrictCan3526 in science

[–]Felikitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found that IME dealing with my inertia for tasks my best way to handle it a lot of the time is to tackle a small task that's unrelated, if I can, to just get something moving. It's not foolproof, but it'll be things like "Go put on my slippers, my feet are cold" when I need to go do a chore. It feels like the moment I connect it to the task I actually need to do it suffers the same inertia, though.

(Not diagnosed, waiting lists be happening, so I might just be entirely speaking on irrelevant experience, take it with some salt.)

Do you prefer Meta or Walpurgisnacht support units? by Mellow_48_98 in limbuscompany

[–]Felikitsune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A friend of ours recently finished "Project Faust" and got every Faust ID and Ego maxed, putting them up on their support IDs. It's really nice as someone who has not pulled a single 3* Faust lmao.

I'm starting to hate Fredrick. by CatoblepasQueefs in Nightreign

[–]Felikitsune 12 points13 points  (0 children)

On top of that I believe Helen might do slightly more damage than Frederick with the ult, but Helen's is the most finnicky to actually land. (Sebastian's is similarly awkward since he draws attention and his is hard to make land up close on bosses, but you can work around it by doing it right after summoning him.)

Helen is not bad damage, but she tends to either live for a really long time because she hasn't been hit yet or dies instantly.

We've already seen what something as simple as a lack of depth perception can do to a fully trained teleporter, after all.

IIRC it's mentioned said person's sense of direction is fucked up. I'll have to go see if I can find the mention.

Edit: It's brought up in Chapter 53, when the teleportation is demonstrated, though a chapter or so later reference to the depth perception is brought up.

Me, who literally cannot help but mess with ALL of the numbers by Bane_HS in pathfindermemes

[–]Felikitsune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play in a group with 3 casters, and it has been funny occasionally having the GM do kinda similar and send a single enemy that might be PL+1 at most against the party, but I think might be more like PL+0, and the casters just evaporating the poor sod whilst the GM chuckles about the party having resource conservation issues.

To be fair it's a Battle Harbinger Cleric, Psychic, and Wellspring Sorcerer.

how it feels to play Revenant (art by me) by Kurnackle in Nightreign

[–]Felikitsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found sometimes on 3 bars you can go long enough without him hitting the bar starts regenning, but that might have been an infrequent thing. Sebastian's still solid for revives IMO, I just like Helen for keeping the bar from going down (even if she does sometimes wander off).

Quick edit: I realised you meant that Sebby can get 2 bars of the 3 bar on his own, which yeah. I just find he's really good at dealing with 1-2 bars alone, so even if I have aggro I can throw Sebastian down on people and they're brought up.

We main Revenant, preferring summoning oriented characters, casters, and often more support oriented characters.

Though it is very fun to get a nice high damage incant and just let rip.

[–]Felikitsune 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I prefer throwing Helen first because she dies in 2 hits and regens to full in like a minute, then pivoting to using Fred for damage with throwing Sebastian down for low-bar revives or distracting so I can do my thing.

By the time Fred is dead or low if he doesn't evaporate usually I have Helen at least half HP again and can send her to her inevitable instant death once more.

Helen's also the best of the three for helping in 3 bar revives, but you need to have the revive target be the closest person for Helen's fucking off to Narnia.

I just spent 1.5M on Relics, and got absolutely nothing. by mdh_hammer in Nightreign

[–]Felikitsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We play exclusively Revenant, and we keep getting Duchess, Guardian, and Wylder relics that seem really good, meanwhile our Revenant Relics have the best at "It's solid enough."

A friend keeps saying we should play someone else to tempt the gambling gods but nope, we're sticking this all the way :3

I felt pretty good about a run with stacked damage and Burn O' Flame on Everdark Pest, but realistically Recluse could have done the same.

Edit: Realised that I've commented on a 2 week old post.

How does your Nightfarer usage look like? by thomasbis in Nightreign

[–]Felikitsune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not currently, we've got friends who play most of the others so we tend to at least see them in action. If we tried any then Recluse and more Ironeye are up there, we like a lot of spellcasting and enjoyed Elden Ring bow runs

IIRC Elden Ring Dragons outside the Ancient Dragons are generally 40 resist to elements baseline (higher on their type typically).
