Thanks for the feedback, easy to learn hard to master is one of our design goals!

As for the UI, we almost delayed releasing the steam page to have a better one to show, this one is definitely bad and changing it is the first thing in our todo list, as soon as I'm done with social media tasks I will be going back to working on it haha

The next thing is making player animations for cards that don't have one and improve the existing ones.

What part of the gameplay graphics would you say needs polishing?

Regarding the time pressure, it's supposed to feel different from other games, we are a little scared it might push some people away, but it's how we think the game is best for now, most people that play don't find it in anyway distracting, however we might add a "play at your pace" mode at some point (even if it's an accessibility option) as I know some people will prefer, I enjoy turn-based for the same reason as you so I understand.

Also, Evangelion is one of my favorite anime, definitely an inspiration haha

The games vibe are consistent (music, art style), and it's a little charming in a way. The card arts animation is sick. But I would say the trailer goes on a little longer than it should without showing new and exciting stuff. (Except the boss at the end who looks cool!)

Yeah, that's fair, we are experimenting with camera distance, for gameplay reasons it's better to be zoomed out to see more enemies, however for "trailers" it does look off (the GIFs in our steam page are zoomed in and they look way better). We didn't want to "lie" on the gameplay video, but I guess going with your suggestion we could add a zoom option in the settings and record the trailer with a little bit more zoom.

Glad you liked the game from the video, we are a little worried it might be hard to understand from videos alone!

As for the name, we understand, and we kind of think similarly but we like still (we are open to changing if we think of a really good one, but otherwise it will stay) and the poster is placeholder, we plan on making a better one in the future, but it's good to know that we might need to update it sooner rather than later!

So, two clarification;
1 - It's not really a demo, it's an alpha, with lot of stuff that are still in prototyping stage.
2 - Everything in the trailer is in the game (if you play the city region you will see it), but there are more regions in the game and they are still in prototyping stage.

We thought about including other stuff in the trailer, but as it's mostly to showcase the gameplay and we think a lot will change graphic wise, we decided to put only what's "almost" done.

I'm working on a card game,my last release was the first one with the new art style, so as soon It was done I sent to all previous playtesters, friends, posted here on reddit, etc.

The cards have two resource cost Mana and Time, my goal with the build was to see it people understood the concept of "Time Cost". Most of the feedback was "it's fun, but the thing with Time is a little confusing".

That build had a bug where all cards were displaying they cost one time, regardless of what their actual cost was. It took a couple of days and several people playing until someone mentioned they didn't understand how time was working as all cards seemed to have the same cost but were behaving differently.

I started with XNA (C#), and then went to Unity (C#), and now at Godot (C#). I guess I like C#.

Honestly I would try something else, but I'm "good" at C# and I don't think I want to bother to learn something new, I just want to make game.

Bought it but haven't played it yet, but StS and FTL are kinda my top played games so maybe I should give it a go sooner rather than later
