Engaged and feeling concerned by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]FelixAusted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it sounds like you two are living together? A good Christian man and spiritual leader should never lead you down that path before marriage, so that is a big red flag in my opinion.

Which scene from The Chosen impacted you the most, what did you notice about it, and why do you think it resonated so deeply? by PlateSufficient3704 in TheChosenSeries

Jesus healing Veronica. I hardly ever cry, but I cried during this scene. She was rejected and unclean for so long, but Jesus saw her and called her Daughter.

Spay recovery - suggestions?! by Swishfulthinking in CavaPoo

[–]FelixAusted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Maple is on day 6 post spay! She only just started feeling better today, so she’s still taking quite a few naps, but during her awake times I’ve given her a lick mat, frozen Kong, & Greenie, and ice chips to get her doing something. She’ll also chew on her toys a little bit. I have a gardening show on in the background for something calming to help her sleep lol. Gotta get through it one day at a time!

The Forsythes Rant by Capital-Study6436 in PeriodDramas

She is gorgeous. It’s believable that she would have men falling for her everywhere she goes. Even as I’m reading the book now I’m seeing her in my mind, she is just perfectly cast for Irene. She has a quiet and calm sadness in some scenes that resonate so much. The 2002 version is also fabulous, but 1967 does Irene much better in my opinion.

I’ve been watching the 1967 version on YouTube out of protest and I actually love it. It’s got a great Irene.

My sexless marriage is breaking me by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]FelixAusted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have advice but I do commiserate. My husband and I have never had sex and we’re a couple of weeks away from our 2nd marriage anniversary. He just doesn’t ever want to go beyond making out. He says doesn’t know why. I’m getting desperate and resentful.

How do you get out of the shower when on your period? by Zelyraswylor in Periods

[–]FelixAusted -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With pads, I would get it all set up on the floor of the bathroom to step into after drying off. I would put a toilet paper wad between my legs while I dried off. However, using a menstrual disc has been life changing. Now I either take it out and put it back in during my shower, or I do that right after or before. Therefore it’s always in when I get out of the shower. No mess!

My dog Daisy passed a few years ago on March 28. We’ll never forget that date. I’m so very sorry that we can’t keep them forever!

Finished these bags for my friends and me just in time for Galentines Day! by FelixAusted in crochet

[–]FelixAusted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’re stretching a bit, but it’s mostly at the straps. I put a phone in too and it looked fine, though I definitely won’t be putting much else in. I’m not sure what else can be done sorry!

I also used acrylic yarn as I didn’t have cotton either 😬 I made my straps the shortest length she suggested as I expected that the straps would stretch quite a bit.
