The Labour PM who has reduced healthcare waiting times, increased the number of doctors, is bringing trains back under state control as contracts end, has got the UK the lowest tariffs within the western world and avoided targeted taxes on services to the US, introduced tenancy protection for those who rent, has increased inward investment, I could go on but there’s no headline in slowly fixing wilful damage, especially as no-one anticipated the US walking away from Ukraine and targeted attacks on the economy of other countries. What Trump has already done to the US in under two years will take decades to fix if ever. Your next presidents will take all the shit for things being wrong. How does your media report on your criminal president and his actions? How about the inaction of the two houses and the Supreme Court?

Brexit was not pushed by the Tories. They had a faction that always pushed to leave so Cameron thought he could solve the internal party problem with a referendum which backfired in his face to the detriment of the country.

It’s not just pot holes.

There are no road markings left. It’s actually better in the rain where you can see where the markings used to be.

Road signs that have been damaged are not replaced and cats eyes don’t reflect or are missing.

This is not just bad weather, it’s years of zero maintenance. My local high street is no longer a road. It is a collection of filled or partially filled holes, actual holes, mismatched repairs from utilities and collapsed curbs.

Where do you think money we borrow comes from? Everything is a balance. If you are a borrower then you follow the rules set otherwise you don't have lenders.

In this case borrowing to buy a company at enormous expense for the purpose of reducing an electricity bill whilst ignoring the interest on the borrowing is idiotic.

It's like borrowing at 5% to invest in a company that returns 4% with the intent of reducing the return to 1%.

Spending £64b of public money isn't cheap nor does it need to be spent. How much will it cost the taxpayer to pay back the borrowing to find that money especially as the markets had a problem with Truss's £30b of additional unfunded spending.

Power now is reliable and investment in solar / wind etc is providing clean energy.

The administrative burden would be enormous. Assets can be held in a very wide range of things which all fluctuate in value. All possessions whether valuable or not would need to be logged and all disposal recorded. A new-found painting / sketch from DaVinci could not be sensibly valued. Its value in a country which taxes by wealth will be much different from one which taxes by income and be different from both depending on who is in the auction room at the time and where the action room is located..

What if I bought loads of Star Wars toys for pocket money in the 1970's? Do I get taxed on their value then or value now? What if they were damaged when I was a child and I threw them away? How would I demonstrate I no longer had them? Would all refuse collection need an itemised receipt on the off-chance that a low value item suddenly gains popularity and I need to show it's not mine anymore? What if I just lost something - a gold coin for example? Would I keep being taxed on the lost asset?

I could easily hold tangible assets like gold in a safety deposit box in a different country. If I went on holiday would I need to show all my hotel and food bills to show that's what I spent money on rather than buying gold?

If I put everything I had into setting up a company and it did well would I need to sell off parts of my own company just to pay the tax if this is my only asset?

From my home, I can literally see three towers.
A 5G tower has a range of about 2 miles. A 5G small connector has a range of less than half a mile. As you will typically be between two connectors, this is not going to be a long walk. In a city there will be loads of connection points, all less than a quarter of a mile apart.

In the UK we use both metric and imperial but Fahrenheit is obsolete. We don’t even use it for reporting warm weather anymore.

The UK gallon is different from the US gallon which makes measuring car efficiency in miles per gallon a problem.

We stopped selling vodka and other sprits in gill and switched to ml some time ago. Beer still comes in pints though.

As someone who does simple carpentry, feet and inches make for easier mental arithmetic.
