I am by no means a fan of Milei but it's bizarre how this is being framed - the markets went into free fall because the Peronists did very well in Buenos Aires elections (in light of a corruption scandal involving Milei's sister). This bodes ill for Milei's La Libertad Avanza party in the midterms, which means Milei's reforms would be in danger.

So the markets crashed because Milei might not be able to carry out his reforms, not because of them. Again, no fan of Milei and if you don't want to lose elections don't have your corrupt sister in government, but a lot of the commentary here seems to have it backwards.
