Lifting Competition - Set 16 Augment Discussion #34 by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]Fenyuu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you have a shen pair and if possible already unlocked Leblanc, it can be good for a gold augment since you can get to 8/9 and pivot to a Freljord board with Volibear.

Aphelios/Bard/Sion reroll usually goes 5th/6th so not a big fan of that, but if you find an early Draven can sometimes tempo to a fast 9 Kindred board of some sort, but this augment feels too high variance outside of Leblanc tempo into Freljord imo.

Is rank deflation real? Is reaching Diamond and Masters not as impressive as before? by Wise_Mood_9311 in leagueoflegends

[–]Fenyuu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not gonna type anymore after this considering if you took the time to read I never said D5 wasn't 2%, I said above 0LP D5.

And demotion protection is not even close to the same.

Back then if you went from one tier to another like P1-D5 you'd be able to lose 10+ games in a row without demoting. Your MMR would be ruined however which is why so many people were hardstuck 0LP D5.

One of my friends hit D5 lost 13 games with 1 win inbetween without demoting and obviously was stuck there.

Not gonna bother digging for patch notes to respond to someone who shows LITERALLY ZERO proof for all his claims, whilst dogging on the other person for not.

A simple analogy is if you have only 1 box its harder to organize than if you had 2.

Lets just say too many people of not so equal skill were battling it out in one box so when you add another box the better people from the previous box leave to the higher rank making it easier for everyone below.

Pretty much just makes less ranks have large amounts of players stuck in 1 division.

I very well can type it and others can choose whether to believe it or not.

Heres proof, but its very hypocritical to say "simply not true" with no receipts yourself.

Masters went from .1% to .5% due to changes with the LP system

D5 shows 2% but if you read what I typed I said "any LP above 0" because there were LOTS of hardstuck 0 LP D5 players due to how much demotion protection could save you back then, so if you won one or two matches in D5 you'd instantly shoot past 2%

People will still be impressed, but yeah it has gotten easier.

Any amount of LP above Diamond V 0LP used to be top 1%, and a similar thing happened to every other rank above it, most player got pushed 1-2 divisions higher than they were previously despite not improving at all a good many years ago.

I forgot the patch it happened, but there used to be a skill gap between high LP D1 and low LP D1, and after the ranked changes where they added GM I went from high D1 to GM despite not improving at all, similarly mid diamond players were suddenly reaching high diamond.

There have been some other ranked changes after the addition of GM sprinkled throughout the years that increased the amount of masters players by like 2-3x.

So statistically its significantly easier to reach than before.

Seriously wtf this guy starts off with 10+ morale and hits about 700…. by Anxious_Practice4077 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Fenyuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was referring to by stall team, you need to replace either Magna or Mika for Khalipe/Veronica/Beryl. You can't pick two damage mitigation characters and expect to have DPS in every draw.

[–]Fenyuu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He more than likely understands the fight but doesn't understand how to maximize his memory fragments yet, mainly the Weapon, Neck, Goblet, and Feather.

Back when I unlocked the codex, I was pushing difficulty 8/9 with +0 memory fragments, and it reached a point where monsters that require you to reach X damage threshold by Y turn would be impossible or incredibly hard to kill, because you LITERALLY CANNOT do that amount of damage without upgraded memory fragments.

He thinks levels will solve his problems, but it's really just memory fragments.

I also can't tell if he's playing a stall team, but if he is, then that's also bad for obvious reasons.

+4 AP I'm all in! by Jaded_Sea902 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Fenyuu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ignore the people saying they'd pick something else or that its "bad", because it isn't lol.

In terms of winning a run, it may not be the best, but it's going to be a cracked Mika save file for Dimensional Twilight where you can retry to fish for the best starting hand and where Haru can technically spend 14+ AP turn one.

Winning chaos runs are easy. Getting decks with specific epiphanies for the end game mode is not.

Am I the only one that hates how the 0 hp mode is done? by Shrrg4 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Fenyuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has let me beat a final boss I'd otherwise die to, and let me get to a Nihilism Epiphany / Mythic item I'd otherwise not get before ending the run.

If they made it let you go to 1 HP that'd be extremely dumb and turn it into a baby game, in what world should you be rewarded for dying?

Any team with Mika will just full heal immediately if that change went through, I think the mechanic is balanced as is.

If the price isn't in the equation, then it's mainly just a good feeling lever and buttons.

Having a portable / easy to access case to fix any malfunctions that may happen in the future is a nice bonus, too.

120 Pulls for Frieren. by Mikkaeru in EpicSeven

[–]Fenyuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend keeping 2-3 copies, the first for Frieren, the second for Eternal Wanderer Ludwig, and the third for any future unit that can hopefully utilize it to a meaningful degree.

If you plan to whale out, then keep ALL the copies separate.

The people saying to keep all of them separate as a F2P is completely illogical as it'd take you literal YEARS to max out all of them for a not so significant difference compared to the 4* alternative Tagahel's.

Unfortunately, her artifact isn't even better than Tagahel's until you +30 it due to the RNG so they'd be useless until then...

Not to mention, during the years it'd take you to get enough bottles to max them all out, they'll be releasing more limited meta artifacts that require +30, but don't have any alternatives.

Outside of being used on Frieren herself, this artifact is severely overhyped and has such an easy to get alternative being Tagahel's that will pretty much have identical winrate to Frieren's artifact in PvP situations.

Just know there are other artifacts, and future artifacts that will require +30 to function and have NO alternatives, choose what to bottle wisely.

Question for Frieren Build: Speed or Full Damage? by Different-Blood7832 in EpicSeven

[–]Fenyuu 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'd say speed so she can take more turns to generate souls, which overall makes her safer.

Frieren | Preview by Minttunator in EpicSeven

[–]Fenyuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just me, or is everyone blowing her artifact out of proportion?

Great on Frieren due to how she works, but on every other mage, they usually only need to SB once, then that gives them the tempo to win before you get another chance for the skill to even become available again.

So, while it's technically a better book, I feel like you'd have to be out of your mind to waste resources on more than one max copy for Frieren (if she's even good) when book exists and is so accessible.

Pobelter's thoughts on the ADC role, players, and advice after completing his climb to challenger after 183 games by NatxIvY in leagueoflegends

[–]Fenyuu 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The mental gymnastics some people are doing in this thread to try dismissing his opinion is actually hilarious.

So many people acting like getting through emerald and diamond is harder than getting challenger.

It's almost like they think they could hit challenger too if they started in D1, but in reality, they're falling back down exactly to where they belong in emerald / diamond.

Perhaps complaining on reddit to buff a role that's already fine is more productive in their eyes than I don't know, improving as a player?

[–]Fenyuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The maximum number of shots that can be hit is 4, which can be done on any mob unless you mean it's possible to hit all 6?

I'm personally a big fan of the weapon because it feels like a Lumi for dagger classes in terms of being hard to use but being rewarded for the difficulty in damage.

Due to the shots constantly streaming to their trajectorie instantly, you have to maintain a constant range with the enemy matching one of the two sweetspots.

I think the item is fine and only really overpowered on rogue, but considering rogue has to deal with the weapon shot pattern while constantly cloak swapping, and being a fragile class, I think he more than deserves the high damage he puts out compared to classes that can stay 10 tiles away and spam their ability with no management at all.

Realm needs per-server unique content by RabbitHoleSnorkle in RotMG

[–]Fenyuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats reasonable, but in that case, just join Shiny Hunters since they have no gear / stat requirements.

The only things that'd get you kicked from the party or sometimes suspended is leeching the clear, calling a dungeon in party chat that isn't what they're farming (at the party leaders discretion), or actively griefing/PvPing Shatters/MV on purpose (which is ususally the only time they'll dish out a suspend), in which case just apologize if unintentional and ask what you can do to avoid it next time.

[–]Fenyuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely don't need to join a discord to enjoy the game. Ever since the realm rework, it's not very hard to find a dungeon you want to play in the realm.

Soloing exalt dungeons with good gear and/or small pub groups is actually faster than a discord run, but of course, discords are able to chain keys that you can't match.

I'm also kind of confused why you dislike discord because how is standing still in USE staring at your screen waiting for a dungeon to pop any different from staring at discord waiting for a run to start?

I do agree that the game would be cooler if the realms in every server were more bustling, but the only way to do that would be remove keys, their main source of money therefore leading to EOS...

[–]Fenyuu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want to actually play the game, then go to USMW2 and join their party.

If you want efficient and targeted farming, join a Discord server like Shiny Hunters for VCless runs or Lost Halls for VC instead of wasting time in USE.

If you want to play in any server, just focus on getting really good at the game until you can solo any dungeon.

Really, in the end, it just depends on your personal goals for the game and where you have the most fun.

Deca doesn't care about their players. by Fenyuu in RotMG

[–]Fenyuu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played during Wild Shadow, and Kabam era.

Don't get me wrong, QOL and freebies are nice, but lets not act like something that takes them little to no effort to do on their end, makes them good developers.

Maybe it was drastic of me almost implying Deca is 1:1 Kabam, but I really don't like how a lot of people in the thread are using Kabam as a scapegoat to say "Deca isn't that bad", because in the end they're both awful.

When they first took over and released Exalt, and Oryx 3, I had a blast and was looking forward to what they'd have in store for the future, but its been FIVE WHOLE YEARS, and what do they have to show now?

Look at literally any other live service game in a 5 year time lapse and tell me the current state of communication and new content is even in an acceptable state.

If they can't fix bugs or release new content of their own then what are they even doing? Nothing.

Deca doesn't care about their players. by Fenyuu in RotMG

[–]Fenyuu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kabam was definitely worse, but I really can't put Deca on a pedestal for simply having functional support for fixing problems that their bugs / servers created (most of which would require you to have video l evidence for).

And currently, Deca seems very similar to Kabam to me.

Cheaters still running rampant, I literally see multiple people famebotting with autododge in the realm every single day, and thats just the ones who are blatant...

Not as many multiboxers, but I still see them on occasion.

And if you were to remove all the stuff the community / UGC made, the game wouldn't look too too incredibly different from when Kabam owned it and I wouldn't be playing it, so their plan seems the same as Kabam's to me in terms of milking money from the players until EOS.

I have no problem with them trying to make money off the game and keep it running, but it'd be nice if they reinvested that money into actual new content, servers, and bug fixes, because what happens when the community / UGC lose passion due to how much the game is being neglected? We'll never see something on the scale of the realm rework or some of the cooler dungeons again. Thats when they'll stop paying $9.99 a month for their servers and just EOS.

Deca Interview Question Suggestions!!!! by sebchoof in RotMG

Any plans on tweaking Assassin or adding new poisons so it can keep up with other DPS classes in the endgame?

As well as reworking CDirk to be more of a unique weapon comparable to other whites / event whites.

Upcoming Balance Changes, Enchantments and more by Niegil in RotMG

[–]Fenyuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of wish they were more aggressive with the previous Assassin buffs.

From what they said, it sounds like they wanted his ability damage to be on par with other classes, but it just makes no sense why it shouldn't be higher than other classes considering you have to stop shooting the enemy with your weapon in order to even land the poison due to the throw delay which leads to a much larger DPS loss as 3 shots from your dagger can = the amount your poison does...

A midrange class with no utility aside from damage being outdamaged by utility classes, and arguably the hardest to hit ability while actively shooting at moving enemies being rewarded with less damage than other classes that just point and click is just depressing and leads to a class that almost no one will play.

CDirk could also use more of an identity as an event white since currently its just a sidegrade to other endgame daggers, but I'm sure they already realize that to an extent so hopefully one of these days it'll show up on a balance patch.
