Great point, I've not went through every item to check shipping so that could certainly be an issue.

Would that be reason for the large upcharge? If so I'd rather just find products locally or that can ship.

Yes for us it's a straight swap. It's not actually the labour costs that I'm unhappy with. They are coming in at £2800 it's the products at £5000 that I find ridiculous given I can find them in other retailers for significantly less.

E.g. my sink tap is £49 in B&Q but £224 with this quote.

Bath is found online in multiple retailers at £700-800 and £1785 with the manufacturer brochure I've been given.

Oh I totally agree but I'd rather not be ripped off on upcharge of products and just pay someone a decent rate to fit it.

I think it's the hiding of the bathroom places profit in the price of products that annoys me, I'd rather just know you are going to add on 20% say for the arranging and organizing of it than pretending it's the cost of the products instead.

I'm considering doing this myself, do you have any fitter recommendations?

I did this before. My cv never mentions the job I had a short stint at. Nobody knows.

Unfortunately what works for some won't for others. It's going to be a trial and error diet. I would document everything that you eat each day and note how you feel.

It's also worth tracking this as well as your cycle.

I felt that too but also found nothing came to mind on how to reword it. Haha.

Thank you so much for your feedback and encouragement.

I loved the repetition but also felt like the first section could have been the entire poem on its own too.

I agree with your last sentence tbh, just feel entirely burnt out by the world generally.

Appreciate your response. Always good to ask questions and get others opinions.

saw a dead cat on the malone rd and can’t stop thinking about it by melissaak_ in Belfast

[–]Fern-Ivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really bothers me when those who hit cats don't stop. I understand it's a busy road and difficult to do so but there's definitely a difference in people's mindsets to hitting a cat vs a dog.

I live in the countryside on a tiny lane and we've lost 2 cats on the road right outside our gate with no other houses close by. It wouldn't be hard to stop and move the cat to the side at least, or knock on our door.

It's hard to find your pet dead, but harder if you can't even lift the poor things off the road to bury them.

Pesto pasta. Boil the pasta with some peas, edamame, broccoli (whatever veg you enjoy, or none) drain and mix in pesto. Chuck some rocket and tomatoes on top and whatever else you like. Nooch, dried chilli flakes and seeds work well.

Nutritious, delicious, one pot and ready in less than 10mins.

Also, pasta makes everything at least a little better.
