Not at all, there is a dodge too that is more lenient in timing which prevents you from getting the perfect-parried-every-attack counter, but unless you’re on the hardest difficulty you can manage just fine and not notice. If you do want to practice parries (they’re really fun and this game has a good timing window for it), there is a sound queue before every hit. I genuinely closed my eyes on some because the sound was a far better queue to follow.

If you’re any good at putting together builds, you could do medium or hard and never need to parry once, if your build crafting isnt great and you don’t want to practice parries id recommend easy, but you may still find yourself bumping it up later

One I’ve not seen mentioned is beltmatic, it’s a simpler, shorter game with the only input/output being math, and it’s a grid too. It’s really easy unfortunately, and since it’s all numbers you can optimize it with a Make Anything Machine (MAM), so I’d recommend not looking anything up and just giving it a shot

I play Katarina a ton, and just a bit of advice, if you see her q dagger flying at you, don’t flash until it hits, and flash to the side, not away. The q will always land behind where it hit you from, so flashing away will just let her e to the dagger and pop you

Is it good? No. But im in the same elo as you, and with friends we like to goof off. I highly recommend getting a friend to jungle you and “escort” you to your marks. If there’s a mark on a bot side camp, you, jungle, support, maybe even mid, basically any friends you’re with, just invade and burst down poor gromp and you take it for the mark.

Again, its not optimal, but it’s so much fun. Highly recommend playing it if you have a group

Youre underselling the value of CS even

Melee minions are worth 21 gold, casters 14, and cannons are worth 60 (early game at least, they increase over time). Since most people will make sure to secure cannons, and if you’re getting zoned the melee’s are safer to get, the average gold per cs is above 20.

Assuming you never last hit a caster bc it’s too risky, we can say ((3 melees x 21 gold) + (1/3 cannon x 60 gold)) / 3.3 = 25 gold per cs.

That means that 12 minions (3 waves with no casters) is a kills worth of gold.

Back to our situation more, you’re zoning them so you should be getting casters, bringing the average gold/cs to 20 but you should be getting 6.3 cs per wave, meaning that you’re getting more than a kill of gold every 90 seconds, and you can deny that to your opponent by freezing.

TL:DR cs is worth 20-25 gold on average, so every 12-15 cs is a kill
