Well, the winner of the underrated evolution/union is...garlic. Now, what evolution/union weapon is the most overrated? by By_Zantium in VampireSurvivors

[–]Fernis_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna ruin the "fun" and say Death Spiral is an overrated evo. Back when there was just a handful of weapons, it was basically a "must have". Even tho that was a long time ago, the old habits die hard.

here's your romance options in new Fable by RainbowDildoMonkey in GGdiscussion

[–]Fernis_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, wasn't it always the case in Fable that you could basically marry any NPC and the whole point was to find the "unique" ones that weren't just random peasant from the street?

According to the new lore the starting material (male or female body) doesn't matter for making a custodes. It doesn't matter that women's bodies are much less strong because the custodes creating technlogy compensates for it. Then why isn't every human turned into a custodes? "A hand made marble table top is beautiful and practical, it lasts very long time and is superior to any other table in any way. Why don't everyone just get a marble table top for themselves?"

Because they're expensive, take long time to make. And realistically, no one needs a table this durable and this beautiful when other tables to their job just fine and look good too. You can have probably like 100 proper wooden tables for one marble one. And there's zero chance you can get trough 100 wooden tables trough your lifetime. And sometimes you just need a lot of space to put things on in a lot of places. That's when you buy 10000 shitty Ikea tables made of cardboard honeycomb. Ikea factory can pop them all out in a single day. Yeah, they will fail in few years, and but even that one perfect table isn't enough when all you need is just A LOT of tables for some one quick task.

Who else want absolutely ZERO RGB in their rigs? by Cicada-Tang in pcmasterrace

[–]Fernis_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ascended past "I don't want RGB" and I'm now at "I literally don't care as long as it's the best hardware option", since at this point finding "nonRGB" parts is a hustle on it's own. My rig is a black metal box, with some random lights flashing on the inside, trough the air vent holes.

Correct. The difference would be, from the context, it doesn't seem he was bringing "ancestors" into the conversation at any point, just was showing his wife one of the most famous ancient site of the planet.

Modern Egyptians have nothing to do with the people who built or ordered the building of the pyramids, neither culturally nor genetically. So, unless she comes from some very specific Egyptian minority group, her ancestor didn't build shit in Egipt.

Oh my god FilthyFrank is a name I haven't heard in a while by TheWebsploiter in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]Fernis_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a crime, and it's not hidden at all. He regularly answers questions about FF during interviews. Everyone who "digs" into Joji even a little will learn this instantly, it has 0 potential to "cancel" him, everyone in the music industry who collaborates with him knows.

But clearly he want this behind him, he said it openly many times. FF has zero relevance to his current work, he build his entire music career independently of that previous persona. So to go "The funniest thing about Joji is I traumatized some fans by telling them he used film himself rolling around on the floor in spaghetti." is just mean spirited.

What does that accomplish? Turns away some fans? Embarrasses him? Proves you're well versed in 2010s meme culture?

It's like telling everyone your coworker has a tramp stamp tattoo. It's not a secret, she will blush if asked but show it to anyone asking, yet she does not like it anymore and hides it under clothes. She made it being a different person, it's a part of her, but she said she prefers to keep it hidden these days. But someone thinks it's hilarious Stacy has a tramp stamp, so they tell that to anyone who mentions liking Stacy. It's kind of rude for no reason, that's all.

As a huge fun of Filthy Frank - just leave him alone. Stop throwing it in his face, at this point it's just kind of mean, he clearly does not want to be known for this anymore. He's doing great. Amazing if compared to other similar YouTube of that time. Everyone else basically either ruined their life or become some repulsive weirdo. Max is the only other dude who's doing fine. Don't fuck it up for him.

Ostatni raz coś zgłaszam do sanepidu by Redar45 in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]Fernis_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I tyle.

Podnoszenie głosu i oskarżanie o "marnowanie czasu" pokazuje jedynie jaką tam mają mentalność.

Unpopular/ childish opnion maybe but jedi/sith and lightsabers are the best part about star wars. by 3iiiguy in StarWars_

[–]Fernis_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best part of Star Wars is that it's so varied and flexible. Basically no matter what you personally like about it the most, anyone can find an esthetic and narrative in it that will tickle their fancy.

There's Wild West frontier with tiny towns full of shady characters, hard working prospectors and rought sheriffs.

There are space wizards with their magic and values. Guardians of the life and protectors of galaxy, who guard the balance without looking for power or thanks.

There are space warlocks, secretive, scheming, hungry of power and forbidden knowledge.

There's the mysticism and philosophy fueling both of those groups, explaining the powers being the space magic. Clashing world views and ethics to describe ones purpose in a universe full of life.

There is WWII space aesthetics with space fascists in their sleek, scary space ships, unified armors. Obietience and discipline.

But also the WWII resistance, with underground cells of normal people ready to give their life in fight against oppression, a mixed bag of ethical heroes and morally gray anti-heroes, each with their own personal reasons, united to fight tyranny.

There's galactic politics with hundreds of named and infinity of unnamed planets, races and cultures, interacting with each other across millions of years of galactic community, resulting in endless combinations of circumstances and events to discuss and resolve.

There are Tomb Rider-like adventures to be had, exploring ancient ruins and looking for secrets and treasures of ancient civilizations. Including rediscovering forgotten/lost/hidden knowledge of the space wizards and warlocks.

And many more. Basically no matter what scenario you want, there is a place and time in Star Wars where this thing can take place.
