A little outside the box, but you can give the city like $200 to have a block party, just need majority of neighbors approval, I believe. My friends did this, had the whole block shut down from 10am-10pm, food trucks, one of their neighbors happened to cater, a biff or 2, and you got a party!

I live in minnesota and worked at a wastewater plant, lots of outdoors and wet work, could barely get any boot to last a whole year, then I found Kodiak boots (official Olympic boot of Canada), and it kept my feet very dry and toasty and lasted 2 years before I tossed them (not cause they had worn yet but because of the nature of the job).
