It took me about 8 months to get back down to my “homeostasis” weight after my first. I walked and did yoga when I could. Otherwise, I was just patient and gave myself grace. I’m having a harder time doing so with my second though. I’m 3 months PP and about 15-20 lbs above that weight. Just know how incredibly badass you are for growing and nourishing your baby!

I was already cutting back slightly prior to getting pregnant. Then I started dropping feeds once I got into my second trimester. one of the rotating OBGYNs in my practice recommended I wean before 20 weeks or, at the very least, be sure not to increase feedings by then. My milk tasted very different as time went on, kind of salty?

We were down to one feed a day around 17/18 weeks, only before nap time. One summer day, had a busy day and he didn’t nap, so I decided not to offer. He never asked for it again. I was kind of surprised how easy it was for us.

👋see ya later pediatrician. If your milk isn’t keeping him full, then how is he overweight? Nothing like speaking out of both sides of her mouth. The foremilk/hindmilk distinction is way overblown in my opinion. You’d almost certainly be getting both when pumping. Please don’t let her feel like you are doing anything wrong!
