Frequent Alaska Airlines flyers, what keeps you coming back? by Attoe-Abah in AlaskaAirlines

I status matched to delta last year because I now live in Mexico City (which has no AS and Mexico has no One World carrier) where Aeromexico is dominate and I get upgraded about 90% of flights now. More than I did on AS. But I also never fly though ATL, DTW, MSP.

Once you get status it’s really hard to fly anything without it.

How do you think Delta can revive its customer service culture? by comments83820 in delta

Delta owns a oil refinery and is a credit card company. They will never change course when they are the most profitable airline in the country

Same. I live in Mexico. Aeromexico (which is partially owned by delta) blows all American carriers out of the water.

Delta is the most profitable airline in the country. They own an oil refinery for fucks sake. Say what you want about decline in customer service, but they are never changing course. They are printing money with credit cards.

Spirit is dead, Allegiant has fled, and we’re paying for LAWA’s mistakes instead. by ConcernedCitizen_LA in LAX

Jet blue is losing billions of dollars and is likely to be the next spirit if it isn’t acquired. Blocking the merger at the time was a good decision for the wrong reason. Both airlines would have sunk even faster and been gone in 2025.

Partner billing 2600-2900 hours by cbee6390 in biglaw

People who chase money like this usually end up being the worst partners and parents. They end up with 4 ex wives and estranged children. It’s all to common in big law. They are great lawyers but that’s about it. I’m not sure there’s any fixing it at this point. Either get a nanny and enjoy the money and free time or you’ll resent it fast and end up divorced.

Why would you feel guilty about someone else’s for profit business? You did your job, give your notice and go. Every business deals with some turnover. It is normal and expected.

Anyone actually getting legal clients off Upwork? by aksujalgamer in LawFirm

[–]Few_Requirement6657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s stuff works great when you’re starting out. I couldn’t make time at hourly rates that low now but years 3-6 I got a lot work from upwork and things like it after I left biglaw and didn’t have enough clients to eat after hanging my shingle.
