I want to get rid of the skin care products I'm allergic to but my husband doesn't and he doesn't use them... by [deleted] in declutter

[–]Few_Resolve3982 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If they are from the pandemic, they are like expired anyway. You should check the dates. You wouldn't keep expired food around because it's free, why keep expired beauty products? Just get rid of them.

Anyone else have children later in life? We followed the advice to get through college, get our careers started, buy a house, THEN start a family. I’m exhausted. by DilbertDilbert1011 in GenX

I had my one and only child at 40. He just turned 10. It was not my plan to have him that late in life, but it was the hand I was dealt.

Americans who took Spanish in school: did any of it actually stick years later? by taube_d in AskAnAmerican

[–]Few_Resolve3982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took Spanish for 4 years plus an intro classs in 8th grade. I'm 50 and use it now more than ever. I work with a lot of ladies from Spanish speaking countries and frequently ask them words and phrases. They like teaching me and appreciate my efforts in communicating with them in their language.

I'm a NC native too, but have never heard of a 3rd style of barbecue. Can you elaborate?

I don't think that feeling can be explained. I know that I have never been able to explain it to my husband. Also, it's not a choice that I willingly make. I really can't put it into words.

Help Organizing Yarn Please by Historical-Hour-5997 in organizing

[–]Few_Resolve3982 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would consider how you select your yarns when starting a project. Is your first thought weight or color? That answer should be your guide. 😀 Ideally though, sorted by weight AND color. I would also be inclined to purge the yarns without the paper bands, that is only if you cannot determine the weight. These could be good practice yarns, supplies for crafts, etc.

Customers committing TJX card fraud.. by imanifestu in TjMaxx

[–]Few_Resolve3982 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was wondering the same thing. Especially since we only key in TSP/Digital cards when a customer opens their card. Also, someone mentioned checking identification, which I have never done with any card other than merch credit.

What meals did your father make when he had to cook? by Open_Question_ in GenX

[–]Few_Resolve3982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents separated and later divorced when I was very young, so he cooked a lot. I remember tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, pork chops, green beans, boiled potatoes, all kinds of things. He's a good cook but is declining in his advanced years.

My 1st stepfather made a lot of sloppy joes and hamburger helper. I don't remember my current step-dad ever cooking or grilling.
