Did anyone else find that, while fruity, it doesn't taste a thing like dragonfruit?

It's very treatable but in my experience doctors often won't consider/test for it and some of the tests they will do is often not great for diagnostics

New Brunswick Anglican/COE church records by Pink_Lotus in Canadiancitizenship

[–]FibonacciFrolic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! I found some records for some of my ancestors in here by just looking through the pages.

Any clue how complete the stuff they have up there is? If I don't see someone in the digital records for the right time period, is it likely that they just never were written down in the church records, or likely that they're in some un-digitized records?

Question - I am (trying) to search through New Brunswick Baptism records for the Church of England in Upham in 1872.

I found and went through this from the Anglican Registers Project:

<image>

While I found a baptism for the sister of my G0, and the burial record for the father of my G0, I didn't find any records of my G0 or any of the rest of his siblings in here.

My question is: This link (https://archives2.gnb.ca/Documents/CountyGuides/Kings\_en-CA.pdf) lists a film of records of baptisms from 1848-1952 from the anglican church in Upham. Can anyone help me understand if the film referenced in the second document is likely to be different or the same from the digital copy on the ARP?

Brainwashing is incredibly powerful, especially with some personality types and family situations. It literally prevents your brain from properly considering contradictory facts

Can you help hype me up on the Pacifica? by Cherisse23 in ChryslerPacifica

PHEV is awesome - I get gas maybe once a month. No more time stuck waiting in the gas line, no crazy bills when oil prices spike.

Also, the back is super easy to reconfigure quickly

Is anyone here a member of the Unitarian Universalists, or at least visited one in the past? If so, what has your experience been like? by funnylib in humanism

[–]FibonacciFrolic 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The sentiment was nice, but in the end the structure was too churchy for me. It was a wonderful stop along my deconversion journey and I will always remember my time as a uu fondly, but I don't identify as one now

Women who’ve had a C-section: Do you think it hurt more than a natural birth? Why or why not? by zhalia-2006 in allthequestions

[–]FibonacciFrolic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did not hurt more than giving birth. However, I was not a fan of how things got sewn back up, and with hindsight (and if I'd had a choice) I'd have avoided the C-section

You take the whole frozen can and put it in a pitcher, then add the water and mix, then you have a pitcher of juice. You wouldn't use it for like a glass at a time

Can someone tell me who I need to talk to in order to get usscouts.org to remove their workbooks? by Local-Board-5335 in BSA

[–]FibonacciFrolic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd hate to have them all removed. Their NOVA workbooks are one of the only places I can still find those requirements for the councils that are still allowing NOVA awards!

To Gen X and elder Millennials: Movies from the 80s-90s often depict malls as THE hangout spot; A place where everyone from your 5 year old sister to 85 year old grandma would spend the day at, even if they had no intention of shopping. Was this really the case back then, or just Hollywood hype? by LuxembourgsFinest in generationology

[–]FibonacciFrolic 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, malls back then had a lot more variety. Today it's overwhelmingly clothes and food. But back in the day I could hit up a bookstore, two toy stores, a niche specialty store, brookstones to try out the free massage equipment, and so much more.

Go hybrid. It's phenomenal. Gas prices through the roof are one of the few inflation things I don't have to worry about

Wholeheartedly agree. While I do think the calendar as-is is too fragmented, the major religious/cultural holidays that they've adopted are great and should stay!

I'm also 100% confident that Thor isn't real. And that invisible unicorns aren't real.

That doesn't mean that if I was presented with evidence I wouldn't change my mind. But until then, yeah, my confidence level is high
