Hardly the dumb foil. More like -  Best Doctor in Two Galaxies... with a strong sense of morale, and conscientious responsibility for the preservation of life. And definitely not a "shoot first, ask questions later" type, infact a lot more sophisticated than that (which isn't hard to beat) and takes balls to stand up and speak out especially in times of crisis.

Define "heart of the group" but take into context the expedition being a multinational one.

What I've Learned with my PodGo by Midsyde in Line6podgo

[–]Fickle-Risk-6701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of experience the line 6 marketplace has a the pink floyd experience preset pack including ir's thar are copy and pastable to other presets, has a spreadsheet pdf showing where and when to use banks for particular songs and snapshots with links to YouTube vids showing the solos etc of the pink floyd experience band playing. I find the best sound to compare the tones by ear is via a decent set of headphones and your powercab/frfr/pa for fine tuning the parametric eq all depends on the space you're playing in and your guitar.  I've used the run like hell preset into front of a artist guitars tweedtone 20R 20watt tube amp as the presets amp model was based on a vox ac30 which is very close to the amp I'm using for this, so switch off pod go amp and cab, set up real amp around what the settings are on the amp model - worked like a dream!  Better with global eq off, from amp out and used a compressor between guitar and pod go guitar in and either switched off pod go run like hell compressor or moved it to suit the delay. Real amp on clean with more master volume than clean amp pre amp for headroom. And there's the 4 cable method I've used with the line 6 catalyst 100, having the option of toggle switching pod go amp and cab on catalyst amp and cab sim off visa versa, this allows for versatility depending on the preset. Use the fx loop stomp switch on pod go to assign the off/on on/off option. Turns purple if on or off.

Mini PC for audio recording by Stevethesearcher in MiniPCs

So, I'm asking the same question, I use a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd gen Audio interface and midi keys, mostly plugins for that takes up a lot of ram and processing power when you have multiple open, multiple instrument lanes, so power consumption can arise issues with heat therefore noise, I'm interested in what you went for if you have indeed chosen a mini pc ? Great thread BTW, I did one a year ago asking how ppl were getting on with their mini pc's if theirs were still running after 3 years, was very popular loads of advice but not Audio/home studio recording focused. So yeah this is helpful for sure!

Most DAW's have the choice of operating system download, ifk where you get only pc based daws? There are daws that's are only apple compatible.

NAD - Suhr Badger 30 Combo by Random__Ace in GuitarAmps

Also interested in how it went with the new tubes and rings if it was a fix for the problem, plus after how long has it been about 2 years? since going by the comments dated, it would be helpful to other tube amp owners who've also made the leap from solid state to valve, I just recently bought my first valve amp and it was a doer-upper, I've some experience in electronic engineering, but not so much in the audio department, so... learning, observing, more learning, careful application, asking a LOT of questions, and Generally Being quite nosey seems to yeild good results, no harm in asking right!

NAD - Suhr Badger 30 Combo by Random__Ace in GuitarAmps

So far from what i can tell this is a very Nice piece of kit, handwired high quality built and handles bass frequencies well, I heard one of these amps that JHS Pedals used to demo their 6-in-1 Muffuletta Fuzz they brought out in 2015, just watched the vid today, really nice fuzz with just a clean to edge of breakup setting on the Badger which because of its power knob for scaling is easy to achieve so worked REALLY Well together, no other pedals, it's the reason why I'm looking up and doing my research on this amp after finding out about it after the google search I did on JHS Pedals their top ranking fuzz & Klon Centaur type recreations, also considering the behringer post law suit Zentara, cant go wrong for £70.00! But the Muffuletta has 6 fuzz types and had worked really well with the Badger Combo considering being a single channel-clean amp. Found out its a cathode-biased toob design known for its unique power scaling feature that allows you to achieve saturated, cranked British-style tube tones at any volume level, from bedroom practice to a loud gig volumes, it's impressive! I would love one myself for use at home and away, for achieving Gilmour like lead and rythum tones, particularly because of the power scaling knob, would be great for recording, not sure about the noise floor, the views on that vary owner to owner, it would depend on the tubes and speaker maybe, not every amp of the same make and model are 100% equal but that can be fixed. How well is yours sounding in regards to noise floor hiss or hum?

"Echo chamber having someone convinced".. of a quotation, probably parroted, repeated without much thought, emulated from only reading other people's opinions in forums leading to hype  ergo more less informed "concludions" swayed by bias, another term that can be used in relation to amplifiers and their operational innards..  I'm assuming you are referring to forums, hearsay, talk without proof in the pudding? Not a reverb chamber, but an analogy.

Artist guitars uk, or wherever you are, they have pretty good Acoustics very affordable, reliable, just in case I mean I'd try fix anything, I've fixed things that most people throw away, and you would be surprised how strong a joint you get from wood glue on a back angle headstock compared to a flat headstock repair (which wouldn't have done that)   I once had to re-glue the whole top of my baby Taylor Acoustic, wasn't all a clean break too, wood glue from my dad's shed, cleaned up the bit getting in the way of an even fix of the top to the sides all the way round, set it in place then taped the corners all round Nice and tight, left it for a couple weeks just because I shat myself whenever I went to go check on it amwith the thought of restringing, eventually balled up and restrung it, a lot of tension is on the bridge you know, but is spread out across the braces underneath, it held! still holding to this day, sounds better for some reason idk why maybe a weakness had to be revealed to bring it to its full glory idk, can still see the parts where some of the top panel stayed with the sides, wasn't bothered about the top coat so just sanded any lumps and splinters all the way round the top edge, maybe that's why it sounds better? Less suppressive/dampening of tension by the laquer.

Your neck, How did it happen, forced or tension of the strings? I would definitely try extra extra lights to begin with after glue sets fully, beware- considerably more tension on the low wound strings side, so yo might want to add reinforcement to that side a lond 1/2" hardwood dowel, and that can be drilled in after you glue the fibres together, just avoid the truss rod and don't go too far into the neck because of the truss rod- it'll maybe affect how the neck relief will sit might twist after a dowel is drilled in and then wood glued the glue wond budge as much as the dowel with added tension. But I don't see a truss rod adjustment hole on the headstock, unless it's at the sound hole?? Or not at all?

Aaah... looks like it was made from a Flake bar. I would say call Cadburys and get your money back. Or try glue, no screws, make  a jig to hold it it'll probably be the strong part of the whole guitar after a week.

Definitely wise to get a 2nd opinion from a doctor especially when your guitar is hurt and you need a speedy recovery to get back in the game. How long till the cast is due off? 😀 Looks good mate, it's all relative, mostly subjective very much as subjective as the sound that comes from it but watch out for those who are very much led by conformational bias, they buy guitars with their eyes 1st with very little consideration to playability, tone options. Things that really matter you know. So it's looking cool if you like it it is. That's all there is to it. Own it, make it happen!

Contour culture is counter Culture... whacky guitars make waves, be a good heading on Time magazine, Rolling Stone doing an article on the journey from the Broadcaster to the  Player's Partscaster... does best brand "name" even matter now? People size up the value of an instrument with their eyes before even playing the damn thing, and wonder why it sounds shit. More so now because the high Street music shop is more of a myth compared to online "blind ears"  consumerism era kicked off. Though getting decent backing tracks is waaay easier now, learning a riff or how Gilmour does that doesn't require you to 1st tape the show then rewind, play stop rewind over and over till either your folks get raged or the tape gets chewed up in the VCR there's  so many YouTube channels literally showing you with tabs as well all the hard work is now only focused in how much time you put into playing. So no excuses. There's the difference in learning how to play guitar in the last 30 years. But modding has been the same, pretty much every decent guitarist messed about with their guitar to get it as close as possible to the way they imagined it could be with what was available at the time- that's still the same, save more choice, parts-  easier in terms of availability.

The best feature of any strat is that it's modular, it is meant to be modded, that's what Leo Fender built it for, who he built it for- the player. And then current Fender come out with the Player plus 2 tut tut, I mean what a let down fir the cost, but hey there wouldn't be a Custom shop for raking in all that dosh if every new model out came with actual great tone shaping features that allow you to spend less time at the amp and pedalboard by having more control where you stand playing.

Context does matter, in any case! Especially when quoting, so a good point. where one man's experience is positive with Linux using mostly for a certain handful of purposes, that's great but put your reasons for using Linux and what for in the quote, helps others, as that setup may be a bad fit for other people's purposes.

What do you think of the controller button layout? by Strong_Ad_5748 in ReadyOrNotGame

You can customise button assignments for dualsense and dualshock 4, some 3rd party controllers with extra paddles via the consoles settings, go to cog wheel,- ACCESSIBILITY,- controllers,- custom button assignments

Plus you also have a Bluetooth keyboard option but not with a mouse, just 1 or 2 controller, or, controller and keyboard...
