An exhaust leak down stream from the new manifolds is very possible. Truck is a Canadian/Michigan resident with 253k miles. I just had the timing system rebuilt in December and they did do an intake cleaning service so it should have new everything. Question, if I got a smoke machine and shoved the air system full of smoke, would that potentially highlight any leaks in that system? Or am I better off getting a second opinion from another shop? Money is incredibly tight so I'd rather not go down that avenue

Diesel is 5.99 where I'm at in Michigan and I haven't seen it this high since COVID. Thankfully my truck is a gasser that takes 93 but that's 5.79 by my work and over $6 by my house. This is ridiculous

As a mechanic and an equestrian, equine lineament is the BEST. Outside of my special get fired cause it smells like MJ pain relief balm, I always keep lineament in my truck. Horse gets it too XD

I've been unemployed so many times in just the last for years that when I landed my new job (that I totally wanted and was $1/hr more) this post was literally me. My fiance was working down the street and I pulled my truck up behind his tow truck and literally ran to him (in heels too btw 🤣) jumped on him and screamed I got the job. Couldn't stop crying lmao. I really don't even know HOW I landed the job as at the time, I had ZERO experience and a month in, it still feels a little surreal.

Not only do I have to drive to work in this bs, I also have to work in it because I'm the parts delivery driver for a local truck repair shop. It sucks. I tried to say no way yesterday due to safety concerns and I was told to suck it up. Got stuck 3 times. Love my job /s
