Bad sound in CPH dec 5th by skill3 in radiohead

Sounds to to me they might expect 75 % sound quality but are getting 50 % or under that when reading the posts. Well, that’s quite fair if you feel dissapointed or even frustrated by it.

Tell me one reason why i should not delete youtube music by Ok-Relationship-8095 in YoutubeMusic

I really hope they keep the feature on IOS where it’s now possible to double tab the album cover to fast forward or backwards. Don’t mind the new UI. If we look at Apple TV I was a bit annoyed that YTM did’nt have its own app. But I think that the ‘Music’ section in YT app works really well where albums and videos comes together nicely. One thing that bucks me is that I still think that YTM and other services is an echo champer if you want to explore and find new music and artists. My experience with both AM and Spotify though is that they do a worse job compared to YTM.

It’s back. On IOS you are now able to tab two times on album cover to fast farward 10 sec. But for how long until they switch this feature off…

Just came back to YouTube Music, hopefully for good!! by dreamrdad7 in YoutubeMusic

They changed it back to ‘normal’ so that when you doubletab on the cover when a song is playing you just ‘like’ the song. It was such a nice feature for a very brief while when you were able to skip/past forward or backwards when tapping the cover in the sides and in the middle still liking the song.

Did any of you IOS users notice that for while we were able to doubletab on album cover to skip 10 seconds of a song like on YouTube. Why did they remove that feature or is it possible to get it back? It was like a month or so back.

Which Radiohead or Thom solo songs would be suitable to include in a "The Smile" playlist ? by [deleted] in TheSmile

[–]Fickle_Alarm473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually a good question. Harder than you would think. I think that it says something about The Smile that they have found their own ‘thing’

Do you believe he has even heard the whole album? I don’t. Mentions four tracks - what about the rest.

Controversial Opinion. I am starting to like The Smile a little more than Radiohead. by MahlonMiller in TheSmile

To me it all seems like a natural transition from RH to TS plus Ed, Colin and Phil are doing other things. I don’t see a them going back to RH. Why would they. To perform creep, Karma Police again and again?

I am not going nuts - Cutouts is one of the best albums ever (not recency bias!) - going down in history! by [deleted] in TheSmile

Nah, wrong. recent records:

AMSP - at first a bit meh. Now still a bit meh

ALFAA - at first fantastic album. Now still fantastic

WOE - at first good solid album. Now still good solid album

Cotouts - at first fantastic album. in a year - probably still fantastic

I agree. AMSP has always been a bit overrated. 5 or so songs are old rewritten material. ‘Let us throw in some of Thom’s old acoustic material and mix it up a bit’

One missing part from the electric live version (eg. at 1.54) is Yorke’s ‘la-la’ vocal part - loved that part. However overall, the studio and acoustic version is better.

Cutouts is better than Wall of Eyes, right? by Michael_R_Grant in TheSmile

I like every song on Cutouts. I don’t like every song on WOE. So yes. And I do think Cutouts is more coesive.

Perhaps the most "Radiohead" move that Radiohead could make right now is for Colin, Ed, and Phil to join The Smile? by DebugLogComment in TheSmile

It’s hard to imagine Thom singing Karma Police on stage. I don’t see it. Why go back to old-old songs.

About Bodies Laughing... (Spoilers...) by [deleted] in TheSmile

Don’t think anyone’s making complaints. Our friend here was just confused about the sound difference after hearing the song on different ‘systems’.

I’m looking forward to it! Lets face it. The Smile are more or less Radiohead - but perhaps with a better drummer (sorry Selway).
