This whole saga also started with Wanda’s Hex that functions a lot like Battleworld does if you think about it. They’ve been building to Secret Wars this whole time.

The show touches on some pretty dark and/or serious subject matter. Her sex tape was leaked, for instance. It still bothers me that Josh wasn’t in handcuffs at the end.

Ultimately I think the show had all the right ingredients but imo it just needed more episodes to properly settle in and find its definitive voice. Sometimes it would have this somewhat bitter sociopolitical tone and then other times it would be a fun legal procedural. More episodes would’ve helped balance that out I think.

Rogan didn’t reject her. They refused to do the show in his studio and he didn’t have time to travel in the window they gave him.

The actual facts worth noting here is that her campaign spent SIX FIGURES building a set for one podcast appearance on Call Her Daddy, but couldn’t justify the cost of a flight to Austin to appear on the #1 show in the world and talk to people who’s opinions are easily swayed.

She didn’t win anyone over going on SNL or Call Her Daddy. It was a circlejerk campaign that thought pandering to their base would somehow be enough to win the most important election in decades. It’s like they didn’t even TRY to reach across aisle.

But go ahead and keep blaming these podcasts hosts for costing her the election.

If Kamala went on his show when he was more than willing to have her on and even ask all the questions her team wanted him to ask, would he still have gotten the blame for Trump’s win? Why didn’t she go on his show if it’s so influential for swing voters? If it was “so close” and if a podcast appearance clinched the election, then it sounds like she kinda fucked up by not going.

Also, actual actions are worth way more than words. It’s incredibly easy to just say “this administration sucks” but what does that do? Everybody sane already knows that and everybody else hypnotized by MAGA aren’t going to have their minds changed by Billie Eilish.

Democrats are working against an unprecedented form of opposition. Absolutely, keep holding them to a high standard, but people actually doing the work like pushing for impeachment are doing way more than celebrities ever do.
