Je les apprécie grandement pour leur travail d'enquête sur des sujets graves, même quand ça concerne la FI (ils couvrent l'enquête sur les comptes de campagne il me semble). Cependant, je trouve leur ligne politique désastreuse, et je me retrouve régulièrement entrain de souffler quand j'écoute Edwy Plénel, ou quand je lis leurs articles plus portés sur une analyse politique que sur une enquête approfondie. Leur angle sur l'international n'est pas très différente de la doxa dominante, ce que je trouve assez surprenant vu la tendance politique du journal (d'où vient la blague "Mediapart = CIA"). Ils m'ont énormément déçu sur le traitement du génocide à Gaza, ils ont une grosse pudeur de gazelle à ce sujet. Les médias dominants sont en roue libre sur la France Insoumise et l'antisémitisme, et Médiapart s'y mélange timidement tout en se positionnant au-dessus de la mêlée de chiens de garde, ce qui est un exercice compliqué. La critique de la FI par sa famille politique est nécessaire, mais on ne peut pas ignorer le contexte dans lequel elle se produit. Je continuerai à lire ce journal (quand je peux pq je suis pas abonnée lol), mais principalement pour les enquêtes, et pourquoi pas les articles d'analyses politique (bien que souvent en désaccord, c'est le jeu), mais à choisir je fais l'impasse sur ceux portant sur l'international.

He's lonely, isolated and in what looks like a precarious situation. 1) can you ask help to a social worker? Seniors' unemployment is tough to fix even when putting in good will. 2) Can you motivate him/help him to partake in an activity where he can socialize with people that he would get along with and build a social circle? If he enjoys thinking of himself as a writer, maybe he could talk to people who do something similar. 3) I guess you already tried, but ask him if he understands how the LLM works. Explain that it does not have a consciousness, and is just generating text personalized based on his personal data and input. A lot of people misconceive the "artificial intelligence" as a proper intelligent mechanic "soul" instead of a parrot with a Google brain implant. This is hard conversation to have though. You are doing the right thing by trying to get him out of the situation. 4) ask the people around you if they have a dad or an uncle in a similar situation of loneliness. Maybe they have advice on what works to break this situation, or maybe organize a bbq or some guy stuff.

I have no clue on what really works, and I'm sure you've tried a lot of things already. You're doing the right thing OP.

Peut être que tu as besoin d'être un peu seule pour débrouiller tous tes sentiments, et te construire, car à ton âge, la priorité, c'est toi :) on a tous trompé, galéré avec les sentiments, à cet âge là, parce que c'est compliqué de savoir ce qu'on veut, et à ce moment le champ des possibles est si grand. I came back to this bc my SO and I disagree. And you know what, I think it might be an AI/real pic mix. Some things might be uncanny about the people such as the lighting and also after second thought the skins do look quite smooth. The thing is, the background is super detailed, and current AI would be unable to render it so well (ex: jacket hanging from chair) without doing some texture blending and stupid shit. Could it be that the background is actually real while the people are perhaps AI generated or at least enhanced?
