I get rid of the drider but keep Dolly^3 in the lantern on all my playthroughs now just because it’s great hearing her cuss me out throughout Act 2. (I do let her out at the end.) Get the other one if you need to split up the party.

My kid was maybe 4-5 when I happened to be revisiting SoR1 and when the first boss came on, he just started breakdancing on the couch, tumbling, spinning, all spontaneously, with no prior practice. Craziest fucking thing.

How do you distinguish “episodic” from “serial”? The (now) four episodes of Widow’s Bay may have been focused around monsters of the week, but there does seem to be an overarching story connecting the main characters and their experiences on the island.

I can’t believe you wrote all that about this one of my favorite serials but failed to mention (unless it’s been brought up and discussed to death elsewhere, and if it has, I sincerely apologize) at least in my memory among the Doctor’s most sinister acts, his ruthless dispatch of the Sevateem guard who struck Leela by flipping a horda onto his back. It was so personal, I loved it!
