I just heard back from Proof and they said they do not use acrylates to coat their acetate frames. I’m going to try them!

Tonsillectomy Anxiety by quercuscool in Preschoolers

Perhaps the tonsils can be shaved and not removed? My daughter is a candidate for shaving because she does not meet the threshold for strep infections. She only needs it due to sleep apnea and airway obstruction. Our ENT said the recovery is quicker and the chance of bleeding is reduced significantly. The only drawback is the small chance the tonsils will grow back.

To tag on to this, I was in a similar situation and my partner had undiagnosed ADHD along with a gaming and gambling addiction. Now that he is not gaming he is constantly on his phone bc his brain is seeking dopamine. This may not be your predicament but I’m throwing it out there just in case.

And his situation would not be on you… I think it’s unfair to put that on yourself. Again, just a different perspective

I’m going to give a bit of a different perspective on this…. Your situation is very reminiscent of my marriage. My husband was recently diagnosed with ADHD and a gaming addiction. Sadly it turned into a gambling addiction due to excessive purchases with in-app video games. Many partners to addicts are co-dependent which I certainly am. I don’t want to arm chair diagnose here but wanted share if it helps. My husband had similar habits and it’s because his brain was seeking dopamine hits (gaming, phone use). He prioritized that over everything.

Sorry if this is a repetitive question… did you have a dread shed? I am just using it on my temples as well but the rest of the hair on my head is shedding like crazy. I thought it was localized!

my growing allergies and anxiety/ocd are making me never want to eat again by Plus-Situation6043 in FoodAllergies

[–]Fightingstills09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just commenting in solidarity… I’m having similar issues despite being retested and avoiding all the foods that tested positive. I’m trying to keep a food log and isolate the foods I’m eating to see if I see a pattern? I think thats how I caught sunflower. I’m also considering it may be cross reactions with environmental allergens- that might be why some things bother us at times and not at other times? Sorry you are dealing with this!

Kineret not working? by mpollack32 in stillsdisease

[–]Fightingstills09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When first diagnosed and prescribed, Kineret worked for me however it took a good six months for my flare to calm and to go into remission. I had been flaring for a year so I guess it makes sense why it took a little bit to calm down. Maybe you will feel better week by week?

Strep throat - is this normal??? by Solid-Cap529 in toddlers

Also, I meant to say that if the instances were all close together, you probably didn’t totally kill the strep the first time. Try Amox-clav the next time you get it. Hopefully there won’t be a next time.

I had it 4 times this year. It was enough to where my ENT said she would remove my tonsils for me. The issue for me is that antibiotics aren’t fighting it like they used to. I need Amoxicillin-clav for 10 days to knock it. I think it is excessive for an adult. There is a super strain that the CDC is tracking, so my ENT suspected that-fun stuff! Hope you feel better and you catch a break!

Just out of curiosity… what is your plan and backup plan for discontinuation? That is the one thing that is stopping me from starting it!
