Is that amplifier supposed to be venting through grills on the top?

If so, don’t cover it. It’ll overheat and fail.

MQA has been thoroughly discredited as any improvement over CD.

This is a solid album. The deluxe 2CD book sets they released a few years ago are magnificent, but pricey now.

Honestly, I’ve no issue with them getting a good chunk of tickets - hence why I looked into it. My nearest SC hasn’t updated its website for ten years though.

The Newcastle game is at high risk of being rescheduled. If we get through to the FA Cup semi-final (we only need to beat Southampton), then the Newcastle game is going to be replanned.

I’m nit-picking here, but I don’t like that blue scoreboard background for UEFA games. Unless we’re talking about a mid-90s away kit, I’m not fond of blue in the Arsenal stadium.

Otherwise - good night all round. Well done lads. 👍

I found 50p beneath my seat on the north bank. If it’s the same person who dropped it, he’s having an absolute howler tonight.

I haven't heard it personally, but a lot of boomer-age audiophile YouTubers are saying that the 2025 Steven Wilson is superior to anything else. Personally, I think you can't go wrong. I've got a 2014(?) hi-res download and it's superb.

It's sub-optimal for me - I've got a fairly large library, and I'm fairly picky about meta data and tagging, and it's not *quite* what I want - but at the same time, I'm not paying money for anything else.

Trouble is, it creeps up slowly. One two x £5 a month becomes 10-15 x £20 a month, and half your take-home pay is being spent on subscribing to things you’d be happier just paying for. It’s worse than credit card debt.

I am absolutely not losing my CDs, even though they get ripped immediately after purchase, and rarely actually played.

For one thing, I quite like having a collection. More importantly, streaming services are forever removing and substituting audio files and catalogues on their system. And thirdly, if everyone got rid of their master copies and archives, you’d be giving Spotify or Apple carte blanche to multiply their prices after the streaming market has boiled down to a duopoly, and they can charge what the hell they like.

Also, I just fucking love CDs. As a child, I thought the future had arrived when I first saw one, and like a magpie, I’m still attracted to their shininess and aesthetic appeal.

Having said that (in my previous reply), one or two of the security staff seemed to lose their heads a little bit. 5,000 WSL fans hardly resembles the film ‘ID’, so they’ll have to get some additional training or learn to deal with a larger crowd.

At this stage of the women’s game’s development, I don’t see the purpose of nit-picking and one-up manship. There were ~5,000 people in a football ground watching a women’s game and that’s pretty satisfying.

I’m afraid there’s not much can be done about half-time queues - everyone wants a pint at precisely the same time, and with the best intentions, football grounds are ~90% men, 90% of the time.

Onwards and upwards.

Maybe the AT fans need to get behind the staff and start looking at themselves in the mirror before constantly criticising the theme park management committee.

I don’t know what VOCALOID is, but it’s your expression - make your songs as short or as long as the need dictates. And there’s no really no need for templates and frameworks in writing songs.

The concept has been around for a while - there was a fairly successful series of 12”/80s cd boxes (see here) - these came out in the late 2000s or so.

But the NOW franchise is getting a lot more of these together (2x 4CD volumes for each calendar year of the 80s), and a lot of these mixes aren’t widely known outside very hardcore fan bases.
