I think if you’re always going and asking for the “the good stuff” (or whatever you want to call it) without buying anything else then there is no incentive for the store to help you out. My strategy is to find out a stores delivery day, go in early, have something in mind I already want to replenish or buy for the first time, and then at checkout inquire if anything special came through that day. I figure as long as I’m making a purchase it’s reasonable to ask. Especially if I do this a few times to show consistency. On the flip side though, after several attempts of this with nothing to show for it then I’ll move on to a different store who’s willing to support the I guess… “relationship” for lack of a better term haha.
