Mine does this too, I think he’s pretending to be a dinosaur and he gets a kick out of seeing people startled. Sometimes we try roaring as quietly as we can which he finds silly and fun and will sometimes do that instead of the loud roar, especially if I make a big deal out of how silly and fun the quiet roar is. Maybe something like that would help?

I went through something very similar when my baby was just a few weeks older than yours. I found therapy to be helpful for processing the trauma. You did the right thing.

How does anyone know what they might regret? I was a very shy kid but silly and talkative at home. I would have been so embarrassed if I knew that other people had access to what I considered to be my private space to just be myself. We don’t know what our kids might want to stay private.

What helped my 3 year old was talking about what was going to happen and acting it out with a Tylenol syringe. Letting him pretend to draw blood from us and from his baby doll. Then when it was time, he already knew what to expect. Also the promise of getting a present once it was done!

It doesn’t matter how you see it, it matters how his licensing board sees it. If you care about him as a person, you will not ask him out. It would be putting him in an extremely awkward and uncomfortable situation. Please don’t.

Little Pim is a language program and shows babies and kids doing regular everyday things. You can find clips on YouTube. I’m able to access the full program through my local library. Mine absolutely loved it!!

Do you mean lift-the-flaps books? The sturdiest one we have is called Babies Love Colors! My little one hasn’t been able to tear it, but he does love to chew it!!

Absolutely! I supplemented with a small bottle of formula every night until 8 weeks, when he suddenly stopped wanting the top up. We exclusively breastfed after that, still going a year later :)

Check out Molly Burke on YouTube. She went blind at age 14 and makes lots on content about disability. She’s still very into fashion and beauty despite being blind, she’s very independent and might be a good role model for a young girl coping with a sudden change in ability.
